It was a rolled ankle when he probably had the ankle taped heavily to begin with. He went immediately back into game 4. Rolled ankles are almost unnoticeable to play with after you have done it a few times..especially with the advanced technology and care this guy receives. Let's see him with a messed up achilles...

Those dunks were highly unexpected though... :o

Delonte's playing with a similar injury, and a wrist that's not 100%
Thank You Delonte's playing on an injured ankle and semi healed wrists. No he's not playing as well or extremely well as Kobe, but he's not sitting down.

And the reason why he's playing so well is because his injury is not as bad as the media made it out to be. He injured his ankle, but it wasn't game missing similar to Rose's. The media took a picture of him in crutches and made more drama and speculation than what was true. The story tomorrow would be something never done before with the usual suspects kissing the ground he walks on. I dont think he faked an injury nor do I think he faked the crutches, but I do think the media overreacted and made it more than what it was.

Just another media game from Kobe, Phil, and the Lakers.

Lol when did Rose sit out? Definitely not in Game 5. He wasn't even taken out when he had 4 fouls early in the 3rd quarter, the perfect excuse to take anyone out, let alone someone with an injury.

There is nothing wrong with Kobe. He has a tweaked ankle that's all. They tape it up the ankle and he is ready to go. Media generally like to hypes up these things; Lebron's elbow nonsense from last season. It adds drama and theatrics to the game. Kobe played along by not getting a MRI.

Yet when Celtics' players get tweak injuries they seem to miss a lot of time or at least a couple of games. I find it strange that he can come back so quickly.

It's called the playoffs

Seriously though, he was scary good today. I was surprised he only had 19 points. The portion I watched he was absolutely destroying their whole team.

exaggeration because kobe loves attention

Not sure about that. He bent that ankle pretty far on Sunday.

What happened to Rose looked a lot worse and he didn't miss any time.

People forget about a guy who was in a wheelchair and then came back later the SAME NIGHT and bringing it?

Or is it because of the laundry?

Great for Kobe but um  u sound absurd talking about about our guys not playing through Injury
Pierce is among the best at it
Rondo played through injuries all year this season
last season KG played on one leg almost all year and was a shell of himself and didnt make a single complaint or excuse
Ray Allen has barely missed a game for us for 4 years and was suppose to be done because of ankle(?) surgery

Shaq, Jermaine, Delonte, Marquis while he was here arent on that level when it comes to playing through pain....but uh last i checked i dont consider those our core guys or guys on kobes level

'Kobe so brave' Headlines for tomorrow, lol
Kobe actually plays through injuries, I believe he had a broken finger last year in playoffs.  I don't like his attitude but you can't knock the guy on the injury front.
Now the above quote did get me laughing though, lebron and the elbow...looked like it didn't hurt him at all unless something went wrong then he'd be flexing the arm, wincing etc.  I think lebron believes all the hype about himself and was looking for an excuse.

Kobe doesn't seem to trust team Doctors. He outsources his own medical professionals and hires private providers for treatment.

Maybe our own players should do the same.

Look at what Tim Grover has done for JO.

Beat me to the punch. I was just going to post the same exact thing. As for Kobe, he is one tough guy who has played through almost every injury he has had. Sometimes I guess it is hard to see through the Kobe hate.

Kobe is a tough dude.  He's played with a broken finger in the past.  Injuries don't really slow him down very often.

He probably wasn't really hurt.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
