I have to think the second round will decide who goes to the Finals. I don't think the Bulls can take either team in a 7-gamer. The Bulls although beating a scrappy Pacers squad, have looked very poor and almost lost game 1. I suppose they could turn it on, but they have looked mediocre, not contending.

Orlando, I don't know what is going on there. Hawks? Pfft, please. This is the ECF coming up..

jeez man let's win this series before we talk about Miami...

bwahahaha just kidding. I think having gotten the number 1 seed we still need to treat chicago as a serious threat though. Miami is gonna be tough, but I think we can beat them in 5-6. The miami thrice know that if they lose they can use the "first year together, its a process" excuse.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Chicago has looked much better than we have in two out of our three games in this series.

It's definitely a three horse race right now

Chicago is a very good team and it's well coached. As long as Rose sin't hurt too bad then it won't be a walk in the park to come out of the east.

Let's take care of the Knicks and then deal with Miami before we look too far down the road.
Peace through Tyranny

You could say the same thing and replace Bulls with Celtics and Pacers with Knicks.

2 key Knicks are hurt and missed time also.

No.

Because whoever wins Miami-Boston is going to have an absolute war with Chicago.  The Bulls are a very good basketball team that seems to be underestimated by many on this board which baffles me if you watch the way they play.  Not to mention how they have a very strong home court advantage when they play at the UC.

Whoever wins BOS-MIA is going to have their hands full.  Plain & simple.

I don't think it's underestimating the Bulls so much as it is correctly estimating Carlos Boozer.  ;D

Boozer has looked pretty awful at times during the Indy series but they still have guys named D-Rose, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, and a pretty competent bench. I also expect that Boozer will find his game.  They're dangerous.

I'm just not quick to dismiss them at all.

I agree with the initial post.

I give credit to Chicago for the astonishing season they have given the fans, but I think ultimately that (assuming they respectively finish off their first round opponents) the winner of the MIA/BOS series will end up representing the East in the finals.  I'm hoping it's the Celtics.

I just feel that the Bulls rely way to heavily on Derrick Rose for success.  They are not even through the first round against the 37 win Pacers and the Bulls' point guard is already starting to look spent.  He'll have more brilliant performances, but I don't think he'll be able to carry them all the way.

Yes, I think so. They are the two best teams in the East and two of the top three teams in the league (Lakers being the other).

However, Chicago are a [dang] fine team in their own right (fourth best for my money). I think Boston matches up very well against the Bulls and will have little problem dispatching them but Miami is more vulnerable. A Heat-Bulls series would be very close. A real battle. Either team could win that series.

Miami has 47 points and their Big 3 has 38 of them haha.

Only one other Heat has scored...Chalmers with 9 and they are winning at the half.

Im just watching the Heat kill the 76res because they have been sloppy with the ball. We are the sloppiest team in the NBA and that is going to spell disaster for us. We just dont take care of the ball and Miami is going to make us pay for it, every time. Mark my words. I told you so.

No.  The winner gets to go there.

Waiting will be a team lead by Rose or Howard.

We are in no position to get cocky. We easily could have lost both of the first 2 games. It seem unreasonable to me to ignore our struggles while exaggerating the struggles of other teams.
