Bouts of depression after a loss, and bursts of over-confidence after a convincing win. Celticsblog would be nothing without it's consistency.
I don't think it's unreasonable to think that the celtics can beat the bulls. I saw your post first and went to the first page expecting to see something that sounded cocky or over-confident but it was just like 3 guys saying they think the celtics can beat the bulls.
Also, are people supposed to be happy and confident after a loss?
I wasn't intending my comment to be slight on the OP or to imply he was being 'cocky' in any way whatsoever. I was commenting on the hilarity of the bi-polar nature of the forums after wins and losses. I have no problem with this thread, I just find it funny that after a win like last nights you start seeing threads with people considering who they'd like to play between the Bulls and Orlando, but after a loss you would think most people here are talking about an entirely different lottery team.
As for the rhetorical question you posed about people being 'happy and confindent after a loss,' I know you're a frequent poster here so you're obviously aware of how this place gets after a loss. People get very carried away on both ends of the spectrum, but after a loss you see some of the most comically negative over-dramatic threads you could ever imagine.
I think this discussion is great, and I'm glad that people are feeling positive, I just found the discussion about which team we'd rather face (which is still two difficult series down the road) very entertaining.
