Can we just let this game play out before determining it to be a failure (like Sunday).  Bulls trailed both of their games late v. #8 seed Indiana.  Spurs lose to #8 seed.  Lakers lose to #7 seed.    C's are up 1-0 and down by 1 at the half in game 2.
Sky is neither bright nor falling.  Not enough data yet for a reliable forecast.

Neurotic, that post reminds me of the old Magic 8-ball saying:  Reply hazy try again.   ;D

I thought our number one priority for this postseason was not to get bullied on the glass like we did in The Finals last year? Well, here we are, Game 2 of the playoffs, against a team that doesn't even rebound well, down 12-4 in offensive boards at halftime, allowing a team missing two of its three best players and shooting 32% to be BEATING US at half. Well done.

The twelve offensive boards are crazy.  That Jeff Green/Baby frontcourt was all kinds of horrible on the boards.

There are things to be worried about truckin on. I don't buy that there is no difference from how they ended the season and how they're playing now. The difference is last year it came together quickly. This year I'm seeing bits and pieces waking up. No unreasonable expectations, but I don't think there's any reason to panic after 1 and half games. JO adds a hold new dimension and our defense has been pretty [dang] good keeping us in games. That counts for something. There are offensive issues, but I don't see them on the same par as before. It's a slower wake up.

That's exactly why I think Doc is making a tactical mistake by going small. We play right into the Knicks hands when we do that. I much rather have Krstic in there. He has size and is better equipped to board vs smaller Knicks' players.

Knicks shooting under 33% but are outrebounding us by 9, 8 offensive. Instead of keeping Green on the perimeter, why not have him crash the boards like he did in the last two games of the season? We're more worried about slowing down their fastbreak and getting back on D that we let ourselves get outrebounded.

On the Pierce play that I mentioned earlier, Green stayed on the outside. After the Knicks got the rebound, Green came in to pressure the rebounder, but it was futile. If the point of having him stay on the outside is to get back on defense, then why is he not getting back on defense?

Doc, it's time to sit Davis down and give Murphy his chance.

Do you think if Baby fouls out Doc will try to sneak him into the game?

This is just getting ridiculous.  Why Baby came in to begin with is beyond me.

Who you going to put in there instead, though?  Krstic?  Jeff ****' Green?  Dropkick?  Play KG and JO 42 minutes each?

I don't want him in never.  But with JO sitting out the first half of the second quarter, there was no reason for BBD to come back in for the final 2 minutes.

JO has played 13 minutes so far...on pace to play 26 minutes, not 42.

No **** about JO's minutes.  If Baby ain't playing, though... there's still the question of who is.  We're basically ****ed because our bench still sucks, at almost every position.  Baby, Krstic, Wunderkind Jeff Green, ain't a one of them has show they deserve any playing time at all... but there ain't nobody on the bench behind them that's any better.

Maybe not but at this point I'm ready to give them a shot. Right now I'd rather see Arroyo, Wafer, and Murphy come off the bench then West, Green, and Davis. All 3 are flat out useless right now. They all look afraid out there. I never thought I'd say this but Nate would be useful right about now.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

I'm not sure why everyone here seemed to think we would just roll over the Knicks. They aren't some scrub team, they're pretty decent.

It's the playoffs, every team plays hard. We could be a lot worse of right now (see: Lakers, Spurs). The Bulls could barely beat the Pacers at home two straight games.

Lets just wait and see how the Celtics respond in the 2nd half. We know that's when they usually turn it up another gear.
