Jo , as PP talked about after the game , is getting his legs back, and looks stronger and more agile every night out, and considering how long he has been sidelined its pretty amazing. Stepping in front to take charges, scrambling for lose ball, shooting nice jumpers in close.

I think he will continue to improve , and I think he looks healthy as well.  , and finally feels good again.

IF we can get out of the first round.  We will need his "BEST" game to win the next round.

If ONLY Shaq could ever come in and play when JO is resting , Boston would be a real load.

I'm really to put Shaq out there in a wheelchair ;D

Didnt see the game but Doc comming out saying that JO won the game in both halfs makes you wonder.

If he can have that big of an impact, then that makes my little brain gnome guesstimate that Perk would have done wonders for us regardless of his absolute lackluster statline from the Denver game tonight.

Its a thin line between insanity and genius that DA walked with this trade, here's to hopeing his gamble turns out to be right.

I don't understand why so many are using JO's performance to justify the trade.  Shouldn't Perk be compared to Krstic and Green?  I mean, JO was already on the team with Perk; we would have had both of them.

JO played very well tonight.  I'd love to see him hit the boards a bit more, but the defense was great, and his jumper looked smooth.

I understand your point but by that rationale shouldn't the quality of player we get from the first round pick be a factor aswell?

Jeff played some good defense tonight and for most of the OKC game perk was poor and a non factor.

Of course Jermaine O'neal can be used to justify the Perk trade. He's the type of high caliber player that we still have on this team, that is more than capable of making the kind of major contributions that Perkins did and then some. Jermaine was a beast on the shot blocking front tonight, and he has always had a talent for shot blocking, and he showed that tonight in a very big way.

It's because we have players like Jermaine O'neal still left on this team that we can point him out as an example of why we aren't nearly as bad off as people are trying to suggest. Shaq was being used as a reason for why the Perk trade would be a good idea, too, and he's someone who was also on the team before the trade.

Of course you use Jermaine, why wouldnt you

Everyone said the celtics were stupid for trading perk because it left them with a big whole at center, despite if jeff green was a better talent

Well Jermaine is proving that hes good right now and we still have Shaq waiting to add to that supposed hole at center

When you add Jeff Green and Krstic...and the clippers 1st round pick to me this just means celtics won this trade, and danny is a genius

What has nate robinson done in okc too?

I mean If Jermaine Oneal is outplaying Perk then how the heck is perk the main reason for the celtics struggles and how is the trade better for OKC

yea that seems like a pretty obvious reason for why this trade isn't as bad. Common sense

JO is also about 7 years younger...32 is considered to be the prime for some other players.

Exactly. The fact that Shaq is so much older is the reason why he should have been working to keep this weight off a while ago.

True, but those players probably still have good knees.

The only thing is JO went straight to the NBA from high school, so he's been playing in the NBA since 1996 (Shaq's been in the NBA since 1992). Playing in the NBA for 15 years as a center can take a toll, even if he is only 32.

True, but he barely played during his first 3 seasons (averaged 10 minutes per game and 45 games a year without starting).
