 :P

I was confident he would come back strong after his surgery and he hasn't disappointed so far. It's amazing to think that the same guy who couldn't hit a shot last year against us went 6/6 from tonight, sparked our comeback, and had a couple of HUGE blocks to lead the way.

Kudos to JO, hopefully he will have many more games like this!

I think it's safe to say he's back.  Let's just hope he stays that way.  With Krstic dealing with knee issues and Shaq's status questionable, we're going to need 20-25 minutes a night from JO to stand any chance moving forward.

I've been saying it for months now.  I was ridiculed for pointing out that when you're 32 and have surgery, your career isn't over.

JO can potentially offer this team even more than Shaq can, as he can play better defense and more minutes.

If Shaq can get back for the second round, Boston won't fail to win #18 because of problems in the middle.

I trust his playing ability.  what I still don't trust is his ability to play (as in his AVAILability).  I'll be ecstatic if he can make it through the playoffs but I'm not expecting it.

He was great today but consistency is the key. Hope he can keep it up.

I wouldn't be that worried about it.  If there were really any lingering issues, would Doc have played him 37 last week against the Knicks in a meaningless game?

Plus with the extra rest the playoffs bring (no back to backs and sometimes more than a day off in between) JO should have plenty of time to rest.

As long as he doesn't get injured we should be good, but like has been said here it's all about consistency.

I loved that win, and I loved JO showing up to both halves (as opposed to many other players on both teams)! Celtics Fans need to believe!

on the one hand, you have the 37 minute game which you're using to back up your point.  From my standpoint, if there was nothing to worry about, JO would have played every game to close out the season to knock off more rust.
Pointing to JO's usage at the end of the year goes both ways.

He only played 22 minutes.  He's actually got good lift -- looks like the old, er young, Jermaine.   Not expecting 20/10, but 12 and 4 with 4 blocks in 22 minutes -- I'll take it.

20-25 minutes from JO is fine if Shaq is back in the lineup and giving close 15-20 minutes a night too.

Otherwise, the team needs at least 28-32 minutes a night from Jermaine.

I always did. JO was so good right before he went down recently that I knew if he could come back with no pain he’d really play well for us. He gives us the defensive post presence that only he and Shaq can. I’d love to have Shaq back as well and we could sit BBD for good. Come on BBD, 1-8?! 0-2 from the line?! Stop shooting the Rock and give it up. At least it wasn’t 15+ shots like usual though.

Maybe.  However, I think it had more to do with Doc not trusting him in games that we wanted to win (like Miami and Chicago).  Doc is stubborn like that and JO didn't know the plays like Baby.

I think tonight's game showed that the rust has been knocked off. Apparently the only real issue with Doc was, whether JO would have problems playing big minutes if called for. And that's why he had that 37 minutes game.

The only reason he didn't play more tonight was probably his early foul troubles.
