  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Hopefully they can finish it off in game 6.

Don't want to let it got to 7 although I think it will.

Oh my god. Jason Terry redeems himself, even if he is Player X like many suspect haha. Lebron is going to get HAMMERED by the media for this. Awful, awful play down the stretch. GO MAVS! Close this thing out Sunday.

Eh, I think 17-10-10 is good enough to keep LeBron from getting "hammered" in the media.  As many predicted, LeBron didn't come out in this game looking to dominate, despite personally raising the stakes over Twitter by claiming it was "now or never."  Instead, he stuck to the game plan and functioned as the main distributor, creating more shots for teammates than he did for himself.

The Heat lost tonight less because of anything they didn't do and more because the Mavs simply hit a bunch of really tough shots.  You can't beat a good team when they shoot 67% from 3 point land (on a large number of attempts).

17-10-10 is a good line for sure, but he's gonna catch a lot of heat (excuse the pun) for the 0 fourth quarter points except for a too-little, too-late layup, not to mention the 2 missed long jumpers, and a killer turnover.

Edit: Its also hard to say it was a good game when he had more shot attempts than points.

I hope Dwyane Wade isn't expecting any sympathy for playing through his hip injury, after his comments re: Nowitzki's fever:

Quote
“Everyone is injured at this time,” Wade said. “I’m not going to get into the fun-loving story of him being sick, either. Once you show up on the court, you show up on the court. Everyone is equal. He’s a great player without all the dramatics of the stories that’s been going on. That won’t change anything that goes on in his career.”

Oh Wade shut up and take a seat somewhere. He didn't feel this way with his migranes when people were saying he's playing Jordanesque. He's just mad that Dirk is finally getting some form of due and Dirk did not overexaggerate his injuries or illness like his buddy LeBron with the elbow and sniffle incident.

If anything and it does it'll be because the zebras IMO

they been letting the Mavs be physical and not let LBJ and Wade live at the line they're due for the opposite probably in game 6  >:(

Yeah, LeBron will still catch some "heat" (heheh) from the media for having just a "good" game when his team needed a "great" game from him.  That's fair.  But he won't get killed like he did after game 4.  Really, if the Mavs hadn't hit a few of those ridiculous 3 pointers and the Heat had won, there'd be no story about James not playing well enough.

I was listening to 98.5 after the game and they were absolutely killing Lebron.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread but this series has followed the exact same pattern as last years. A-B-A-B-B

Hope the Mavs break the pattern

You guys watched the game last night right?

The Miami Heat dominated that game.

The Mavs dominated the 3 point line.

The Heat got layup and dunks, one right after the other, over and over via Lebron and Wade's passing.

The Mavs hit a lot of long range shots.

In a defensive series, that hot shooting happens once in a blue moon.

In the long run, the team that gets the most quality looks and easier baskets will end up winning the series.

I was thinking the same thing too. And I expect Wade to try to injure a player on the Mavs, just like Kobe did to Perkins in game 6.

The Heat don't get quality looks out of the half court as much as the Mavs. If the Mavs don't let the Heat get transition points their offense bogs down a lot.

Agreed -- Dallas got lucky and rode some hot shooting (68% on 19 three point attempts) to victory.

Every game has it's own path and Dallas rode it well but it is not a good indicator for how they will play in the rest of the series offensively. They'll come back down to earth in the next 1-2 games.

Miami need to insert Mario Chalmers into the starting lineup to deal with JJ Barea. Too many easy minutes attacking Mike Bibby's porous defense.

Dallas made a lineup change and Miami needs to counter it because they don't matchup effectively there anymore.

I would also play Eddie House ahead of Mike Bibby as my backup PG. A marginal difference but House is more of a scorer vs Bibby which I think is more valuable to Miami than Bibby's superior job of initiating the offense in the second unit.

Wow, Chalmers is a clutch player. Is he a FA this summer? Can we get him?
Clutch player in College too.

Always like guys who were big shot makers in pressure in the NCAA tourney. Gives them (young players) a lot of confidence (and experience) to take and make big shots in pressure situations in the playoffs.
