I think the Lakers were the CLEAR favorite to come out of the West until Bynum got injured last night. Purely because of that injury I think the Spurs, Mavs, and Thunder all have a chance to come out from the West now.

The Lakers are still my favorite in the West, easily. They have the fewest flaws by far. Some of their challengers are tougher than last year, but c'mon, it will be a major upset if anyone beats them in a 7 game series. Charles saying Kobe is washed up again? Really? That's ridiculous. I wish he was right when he said it last year.  ... .TURRIBLE.

Given the success rate of Barkley's predictions, this is a little troubling actually. 

I gave him some credit. He predicted Orlando would beat Cleveland back in '09, when everyone thought he was crazy

He still can't play golf either.  Much as I love Sir Charles , HE IS WRONG, no maybe about it ...... LA can CRUSH the MAV s like a bug anytime they want.  

Koby is his OWN hero.  He must  prove , year after year he still has it and is DA MAN. He once again appears on a mission . and will die trying to win it all.

With out a focused and nimble / youthful / ful tilt boogy TIM DUCAN , the SPurs can hang it up as well.  A couple nasty 6 '6"  tuff forwards an't gonna get her dun against the LAKERS big Three.

OKC ....I think has the best chance to upset the Lakers.   IF Bynum thinks about his injury or it returns a bit , they can't beat OKC in Series.  If Bynum returns to his form few weeks ago ... well its all she wrote .....turn out the light son OKC too.

I personally think the BULLS are wizzing in the wind ,they can't beat a heathy lakers , neither can the heat in series.

I don't feel there is a set dominant team.  SA has been it all year but they have weak spots like everyone else, bynum's health a big an if as shaqs

barkley also said SA wouldn't win first round i believe, even kenny smith was poking fun at him

I'll have to agree with him here, except I would go one further: I don't think they're getting out of the first round this year. From what I've seen to end the season and to start the playoffs, their defense isn't good enough, and their bigs aren't having the effect on the game that is necessary for them to win.
