Considering that matchups are not yet set, this thread is premature.

For example the Lakers win the tie-breaker over Dallas, so unless they lose tonight versus the Kings they're the 2 seed.

Just chime in with a prediction tomorrow then.

I think LA has that 2nd seed locked. I can't imagine them loosing to Sac tonight. And even if they slide to 3, will that change anything? I doubt it. They're still going to chew teams up in the 1st 2 rounds.

Bulls sweep the pacers
miami beats philly 4-2
boston 4-1 over ny
orlando 4-1 over atlanta

SA 4-0 over memphis
LA 4-0 over NO
Portland over Dal 4-2, maybe 7 game series
OKC 4-2 over Denver

2nd round
bulls 4-2 over orlando
boston 4-3 over miami

SA 4-1 over OKC
Portland 4-3 over LA (if bynum isn't playing) or LA over portland 4-2

3rd round
Boston 4-3 over bulls
SA over LA or Portland (see bynum) 4-2

Boston wins it all, of course, any doubts

IF we have health of dwest, shaq and rest of team
I feel portland is a tough matchup

If you're going have a prediction thread, I think its useful to know the match ups. Memphis is a much tougher team than the Hornets for example.

It also reduces the fun of the thread when you have people predicting in what are quite literally different brackets. Starting a thread first is good fun, but someone is going to have to start a new one with an accurate match up summary at the top tonight if Pos doesn't edit his OP.

I'll edit my post as soon as tonights games are finished.  Things have shifted around a little bit more than I originally anticipated.

That said, I think the majority of my predictions will remain unchanged, with the exception, perhaps of the Finals . . . it looks as though the Bulls will have HCA over the Spurs, which would definitely make things interesting.  I might have to choose the Bulls in that situation.  Then again, I tend to side with experience in the playoffs.  Definitely makes it more difficult to pick.

I'll just cut to the chase.

It will be a Boston Celtics - Orlando Magic Eastern conference Finals this year, with Boston winning in 5 or 6.

West? LA. Period. I'd love to see OKC or the Spurs somehow beat them, but LA just has too much experience with this by now. OKC has the youth and length, but experience? Spurs? Not enough size, especially with Bynum coming back by then.

NBA Finals? Boston hoists Banner 18 - with a smiling Shaq grinning in Kobe's mug - in June - hopefully June 18th ;D

I hate to say it but MIAMI is going to win it all.  Everything is clicking for them now.
