MIAMI — After whacking the Celtics [team stats], 100-77, yesterday afternoon, the Heat hit them again.

Speaking of the difference in the Celts since their big trade, Chris Bosh said things were essentially the same in what they try to do. Then he added, “It’s just a difference in players. Kendrick (Perkins) brought a certain element to that team, and it’s not there anymore.”
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Again the only people that I've heard say losing Perk made no difference to this team are here on this forum. Apparently they see something that the rest of the sports world (including the Celtics) don't see ::)

Boston kicked in the ass Two Times Miami Without Perk, Two Times Chicago Without Perk, 1 Time Oklahoma, 2 San Antonio, 1 Times Orlando... Every time without Perk. I do not understand what kind of fans are you. You aren't real fans. Players come and go, but the teams is forever. I Trust this Celtics and i Believe in the 18 Banner. The team is strong... stop negativity. The other teams fear us and tell the story of perk. we know the truth, we are better team in the nba

Once only... this is what surprises me too with these statements, all the teams that said that lost against us without Perk.

Plus two years ago Perk was considered by the majority of NBA players as a guy who thinks way too much of himself... go figure.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If you buy into these mental games you're as bigger pushover as Chris Bosh.
Look at their overall record against these teams without perk over the season.
Bosh has to resort talking about Perk because Miami is desperate for a mental edge- just like Chicago.
Shaq playing 15-20 minutes will help a lot.

Mind games- that's all it is.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

hey it's the "in" thing to say. BSPN and all the other outlets believe and sell this BS. what's really sad is that some of the fanbase believes it as well. it really is much deeper than that.

Ok guys, if it wasn't the trades that happened that day then why do we suck so bad right after them? And we do suck by the way. Both the Heat and Bulls are better then us right now.

And don't say Shaq. He's not been a factor in most of the big games we've won.
Peace through Tyranny

Let's hope that the Celtics still have some pride left. For heaven's sake, they are basically saying the rest of these guys got their toughness and grit from Perk and Perk alone. KG and JO should be particularly p---ed. They are getting called out across the league...

C's won the first 2 games vs MIA this season w/o Perk.  He only played in the third game.  So Bosh's comment basically means nothing.

Anyways these comments by Rose and Bosh are all somewhat taken out of context.  The reports are obviously pushing them to address the trade; what else are they going to say?
