It starts with Rondo, and goes through the team. Perkins did alot of the dirty work. Alot of the hard fouls that KG wouldnt give, the picks (illegal and all) that Ray Allen functioned on, and Rondo crept around. This means the team has to work harder. Its not as simple as people think it loooks because basketball is very much role based. Now all of these guys have to work harder at a time they were comfortable with who the team was.

The person I am most dissapointed in is Rondo. He is still sulking and in fact is almost displaying a dont care attitude to his game. Very very early in the game he let Mike Bibby cross over and take an uncontested shot with the same I dont give a toss attitude.

I think the week off will do this team good. It really doesnt matter where they are seeded. It does matter where their heads are at. And once faced with the finality of playoffs I think they will bond.

If the Celtics doesnt win the championship I think Rondo will and should be traded. I am a big fan but anyone who can sulk his way through a series of games like this is dangerous.

I love Rondo, but all I want to know is:

Where is he in this game? He just doesn't seem like himself.....that one play a min or so ago when Glen and Paul got caught in the backcourt bringing the ball up??

Where is Rondo?

The Celtics give seniority and hierarchy much more importance than most teams. Hence Rondo will continue to play. Also, bench him and he will sulk more.

Its not like his game has dissapeared. He is deliberately not showing. And thats fine only if its going to come good in the playoffs.

Rajon is not mentally in this game.

Celtics main problem they don't have a true starting center. Neither Kristic nor Jermaine are starting Center for a championship team. Unfortunately for the Celtics the season hangs on Shaquille O'neal health.

Rondo is Rondo. Like all the players in the NBA, he has shining moments and not so so moments. The disappointment drives from Rondo's overly exaggerated status as "Elite" player. Lower that bar people.

I'm just waiting for playoffs.  I learned my lesson last regular season.  You cannot judge this team during the regular season; they are simply not playing their top game in order to save themselves for the postseason.  I don't really watch games against lower teams and take games against elite teams with a grain of salt.  The celts showed me that they are still capapble of another level in the Spurs game and the 4th quarter of the Knicks game.  I haven't seen that level of effort in the last few months other than those two games.

Are you even watching the Miami game? Celtics are TRYING, they are getting crushed.

I've said it before, this team needs young athletic bigs. Glen Davis is a black hole on offense and I'll be glad to see him go in the offseason. Rebounding and defense win championships, and the rebounding is not there.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

I think you got to trade Rondo this summer, if this continues, and you can get NOH to trade CP3. You do not trade Rondo to just trade him but he has shown he is an overrated player. He needs to play with talent and he won't be in the next year or two. I saw what Mayo said but I don't think he attracts elite FA like a CP3 or DWill would.

I think CP3 could be very gettable this season with a package centered around Rondo and a big expiring contract like Ray or KG.

I like Rondo a lot but he is a third best player for a championship team still with that inconsistent jumper. He is not the "Bridge" to the future at this point.

The problems (which, btw, don't include Perk's absence.  JO gives us most of what Perk did, imo):

- Over-reliance on inefficient long 2 point jumpshots
- Lack of inside game (driving / slashing / post-up)
- Weak outside game as a result of no inside game
- Slow, uncreative offense that is prone to stagnation
- Lack of cohesion on defense
- Apparent lack of fire and intensity overall.

If everyone thinks Rondo is so overrated, why would NOH trade Chris Paul for him?

Bingo.  They wouldn't.  Reality check folks: Rondo will not be worth as much as we think he is when it comes time to trade him (and don't be surprised when that happens).

I agree that our problem is that we don't have a center. Miami has 15 offensive rebounds (including Bosh 5, Ilgauskas 4, Joel Anthony 4). Rondo isn't the problem here.
