I am a firm believer that players have the tendancy to play poorly sometimes. But for the whole game?

But we played poor for the entire game and the adjustments made were nonexistent. Sure they played with energy the entire game, yes Rose showed his stuf and he has pleanty of stuf to show, we could not stop him or even slow him down. But our offense was terrible most of the game we never seemed to get into a game plan or even to have a game plan. Rondo holding the ball at the end of the 1st just to have the worst shooter on our team throw up a jumpshot was bad enough, but to wait so long that we didn't even have a second chance if we got the rebound was horrific!!! And the adjustments that we NEVER made were well I don't think there is a word for it.

Deng gives Paul fits with his length and hustle everytime they play. and lastnight was no different.

I thought that we might go with KG at center and Green at the 4 as he was effective and that helped our athletic ability and KG could bang with Noah no problem and draw him out of the paint some, but no we kept with Davis most of the time and we paid dearly for it. Then I thought maybe Pierce at the 2 with a big line up so we could get pierce in the paint  on a smaller player. NOT! They were running pick and rolls and going to the mismatch on the switches we just kept taking what they gave us and they didn't give us very much.

Our floor spacing was nonexistent! Some of these things the players should have picked up on but most of these things the coach should have addressed during the course of the game.

I have never been a fan of Docs X and O game, he is a players coach but vets rarely need a players coach.

I give props to Tom T. and his game plan and the Bulls execution of said game plan but Doc was flat out outcoached and it wasn't even close.

I am afraid our best hope at a title this year is if someone gets lucky and knocks the bulls off for us and I don't think we can beat LA or the spurs playing this way either.

Granted if Shaq comes back and can contribute we might be able to play from the inside out and have a chance, and he might just be able to rotate to pick up Rose and touch him up a little. something KG and Oneal should have done tonight. Not dirty or cheap or hurt him, but make him get up off of the floor and get in his head some! It is clear that as Rose goes so go the bulls even more so than with Rondo for us.

These are just my thoughts and I'm sure some of you are going to crucify me for this post but [dang] man make some adjustments and not the ones the opposing coach wants you to make like last night!

well more green!  yes more Green, green is better than bbd, and should play instead.  Although im not sure bbd or green should ever be guarding boozer for more than 3 possessions per game..  but green is better option than bbd in every way.

We either need to 7footers, KG Kristic, Kg Murphy, Kg JO, OR Kristic JO, Krisitc Murphy,
Or we can play Green with KG/Kristic/JO/Murphy

BBD shouldn't be out there with those guys.

Green should be our 6th man ( similar to the posey role)  except he's a little better playing the 2 and 3, rather the 4 especially with guys like boozer, and lamar odom and gasol out there.

Please Doc, keep BBD's minutes DOWN DOWN DOWN, thanks doc.

Thibs is coaching with an entirely different set of dynamics.  Notice he still had his starteers on the court til the very end of the game.  His best player dominated the game, played big minutes, and appeared to have nary a drop of sweat on him. Doc's most effective center at the moment can't play big minutes, his starters need rest for the playoffs, and he's not hell bent on securing a top seed (and establishing his team as a contender).

Thibs is doing a great job, but he's in a much easier situation at the moment.

Completely agree.  Boozer played the entire third quarter and most of the 4th.  The bulls really extended the lead when KG sat down and Boozer went to work on Baby.  If doc played KG as much as boozer in this game he would be going against his philosophy of having guys ready for the playoffs.

Once I saw KG sit down with i think 4:30 left in the third and not coming back until 8:45 left in the 4th i knew it was over.

Our offense looks stale, uninspired.  For a while.

And that should calm people about this game. I give credit to the Bulls but we didn't look interested.
The Bulls played this like a playoff game and we just participated.

Back to wanting Joe fired.

Exactly.  I thought this game meant more to the bulls anyways.  Locks up the first seed for them pretty much and evens up the season series.  I trust Doc and know what he is doing.  I think he likes being the dark horse going into the playoffs to be honest.

Thibs knows our system....he invented it.

Now he's got his players running it better since a majority of our players now weren't even there to learn from Thibs.

Our team offense has gone down the last 2 seasons.

Yes, and it will continue to as our Big Three are getting more and more past their primes.

And the offense will keep struggling because of the issues with Doc's rotations referenced in another set of posts. . .

Doc costs us game 7 with his sloppy rotations and inability to make adjustments. Now he's leading us down the same road because he's just plain stubborn. He'd rather watch our starters run this team into the ground than offend the egos of a bunch of "superstars" who act like they're entitled to the Chip just for showing up. If the hubris of this team doesn't get to them, I'm sure bad karma will. Doc has had ample time to fix our offensive problem but once your set in one way, or one "system," it leaves no room for compromise and the problems we have now are the same ones that will end up catching up with us in the postseason.

Doc should not be bashed, he is a great NBA coach. But there is only so much a coach can do. I do feel that Doc is starting to look a bit burned out, and who could blame him?  Anything short of a championship, and he does not return. Just don't want Larry Frank to step in next year.  I think he is fine as assistant, but lacks the gravitas to be HC.

Sure he should.  He's not a great tactician.  He doesn't seem to be the motivator he and the team claims he is --> the lackluster play the past couple years would be proof of that.  He may be good at handling player egos but the way team is lacking ubuntu this year would seem to show he's losing that touch as well.

The only time I consider him to have not been outcoached was the finals against Phil in 2008 where he did an admittedly great job against the Lakers.  Other than that, I find his coaching skills overrated.

I'm sure I'll be crucified for that opinion but it's how I've always felt about Doc.
