How much blame does Doc deserve since the trade?

It's still early in Jermaine O'Neal's recovery so I am not bothered by his low minutes.

I would rather the team take a cautious approach on a player who has struggled with injury throughout the season and most of his career.

But why does Doc play Glen Davis soooooo much??? That drives me crazy!!!

Glen Davis was our best player tonight, he wasn't the problem.

Baby shot 1-8 to go along with 3 rebounds and he was our best player? Scary...guess that shows how bad we played.

Baby took a number of good shots and missed.

He also again took a number of shots off of broken plays with the shot clock winding down.

Baby was the only player, consistently trying to pound the middle and get to the line.

I don't care what stats Paul Pierce put up....Paul had one of his worst games of the season this year when he let foul trouble completely take him out of this game.

I don't think all the shots he took we're good. Too many long jumpers...maybe those were resulted in broken off plays, but not all of them.

I thought KG for most of the game was our best player. But really no one played well.

I don't love Doc's rotations, but how much blame can he get?  He had one-third of his team changed on him late in the season, without a training camp or much practice time to get everybody assimilated.  He's had to reincorporate Delonte and JO, and will have to get Shaq adjusted.

That's 8 out of 15 players that Doc had to get playing together, despite them not being in green or not playing for much of the year.  Good luck getting that roster together with 25 or fewer games left in the season.

The glimmer of hope is that before the playoffs start, and in between starts, there will be time for both rest and practice, two things this team desperately needs.

I'm being honest how much blame was Doc getting last season?

He had the same team as he had the previous years and they were god awful for half the season.

Please don't give me the "dealing with injuries" or whatever because this year has defitniely been more than last

Why is Doc comfortable playing Glen Davis 30 minutes??

Glen Davis plays twice as much as Kristic?  Twice as much as JO?  and more than the lottery pick Jeff green?   DOc what is going on???

Please, please, give Davis minutes to kristic, JO, Jeff  Green, even murphy.  Please please limit davis to 10-15 minutes!!!!  What is this?  How is Davis our sixth best player?  He iSn't!  OMG this is NOT rocket science Doc.  Im not even mad at Davis anymore.  Im mad at DOC! wake up DOC WAKE UP WAKE UP.  i can't stand it.  i really can't.  i know i appologized about the glen davis bashing, but now im mad at Doc.  Davis does what he is told to do.  He is Fine.  but DOC!  please play your best players.  thanks.  wow!


by the way, the team looks asleep out there.  asleep, and looking at eachother cluelessly as to what to do on offense and defence.  clueless.  playing better players will help, but its like doc has given the team 900 playbooks to learn, and every one is like what?   Red aurbach, lets simplify EVERY THING.  I would rather see a rondo KG pickand pop every play, and zone defense, than the crazy stuff they are doing.  at least players would have a clue.  Keep it simple Doc, omg!  wow, it used to be EASY to be a celtics fan. 

Jeff green needs 35minutes per game.  He needs to feel comfortable for the playoffs.

having BBD out there isn't bad.

but the nuttiest job that Doc consistently does (which i hope won't happen in the playoffs) is playing BBD and Krstic together. talk about your soft-served interior defense! BBD bodies his man up in the post well which might work against the Noahs of the world on offense, but against a real scorer like Boozer (and perhaps, later on, Gasol or TD), he's not very effective anymore. meanwhile Krstic can hardly rebound or alter a shot. at least BBD can make you think about driving because he's willing to take a charge, but i think there's always gotta be at least one shot-blocking presence on the floor.

I have noticed Doc's poor substitutions since the trade. It cost us a lot of easy games. Before this Bulls game, a lot of fans had been begging for a better win-loss slate prior to the playoffs. Clearly, we already lost the HCA against the Bulls and maybe even to the Heat when we've been giving away games against easy preys.

I only watched the first 3 quarters (up to mid 3rd actually) just when the Bulls wrestled the lead from us. KG and PP were pathetically slow against their counterparts, especially PP. PP has been a disappointment lately especially in taking care of the ball and giving inside passes to the bigs. For his talent and stature, he should not be making those mistakes.

We lost the game because of speed, youth and athleticism by the Bulls. Obviously, giving more PT for the Big 3 is not gonna help. Why can't Doc find or devise plays for guys like Sasha, Troy, VW and even Bradley such as giving them open jumpers or trifectas? He keeps on making his players to create on their own. He is becoming a poor man's KC Jones. At least KC Jones found ways to showcase the very talents of the bench players to the max before he pulls them out. Every player can contribute and that Doc has to find ways for them to do so.

whatever the rotation is, my point was that we can't have Krstic-BBD which Doc has trotted out there for significant stretches. i cite BBD because he's been the most regular rotation player. but JO-Krstic could work as well.

I don't understand about the distrust on BBD's play. He is OK. He is young, bangs with the bigs, knowledgeable of our set plays and makes his jumpers. He's got a very good jumpshot stroke. All we need is consistency with that jumper like KG does to open up the lane.

The glaring disparity against the Bulls is the PP-Deng matchup coupled with body punishments Ray received from the Bulls' SGs. I would go for KG/JO at center, BBD at PF, Jeff at SF and alternating PP/Ray at SG. Alternating Jeff and PP will be fine depending on teams we play but obviously not against the Bulls.

I don't think Perkins would make a difference with how we're playing on offense.

It was our turnovers and bad late shot clock jumpers that allowed the Bulls to win this game.

Perkins would have helped by leaps and bounds on defending Rose.  I don't think I saw Kristic step over and make a play on him attacking the basket last night

Doc is struggling with rotations? There's a shocker. It's just not his thing. The problem is that Ainge made a trade that *required* a good in-game coach, since the trade was designed to increase the in-game flexibility of the Celtics. Thus, I'd also blame Ainge for making a trade that did not play to Doc's strength as a coach.
