All around the league the talking heads are jumping off the Celtics bandwagon.

And all I see is things falling into place.

JO looks good.  Delonte is looking better and better every game.  Kristic is back, Rondo is getting sharp again, Shaq little tweak looks minor and I think nothing is going to keep him out of these playoffs.

Oh now everybody in the league is dissing the C's as too old and too hurt.

Paul Pierce doesn't take too kindly to that.

Fuel for the fire.

OH I can't wait!

Why are you limiting yourself to "Talking Heads", seems like fans do a lot of jumping on and off the bandwagon?

But yeah, it's been surprising to me the extent some of the "Talking Heads" have gone to discredit the Celtics chances. Haven't they learned anything yet from the past 4 years?

I think people are really discounting JO.

They think Shaq is our only hope of doing anything and since he just got injured they assume he is either going to be hobbling during the playoffs or most likely get injured again.

Although that is tough to argue I think if you have watched JO play these last few games and not just look at the box score, make assumptions, people would see that he could be very valuable in the playoffs.

People are just assuming since he has been out the whole year that he will A-Suck or B-is hobbling.

All the talking heads downplaying our chances are all Kobe-crotch sniffers anyway. Who cares what they think. To quote WWE wrestler The Rock "It doesn't matter what they think!"
I'm not so sure they think at all.

Yeah, I understood why people were frustrated that JO missed so many games, cause I was frustrated by it too.  Seems like something that was mishandled pretty thoroughly by Jermaine and/or the team.

But I never got why people thought JO would be "a scrub" or "worthless" when he actually was playing.  A seven-footer with some agility, decent handles, good shotblocking inside and the ability to finish around the rim and hit the occasional jumper is a pretty big asset.  His best days are well behind him but that's a heck of a 5th-8th option for a playoff team.

It was so surprising to see Skip Bayless also jump off. Wow, that was comical

I distinctly remember when Skip and Stephen A. Smith were on the ESPN first take desk and were laughing it up that Lakers would easily beat the Celtics a day before the 2008 NBA Finals began. I swear, sports writers are so arrogant with the way they predict games lol

This bugs me everytime. I mean each year it's the same story, you would think they have learned from their mistakes and would say "no way I'm picking against them now!". But no, of course, they keep saying we won't do it. This year their "argument" (appropriate brackets here) is the Perk/Green trade but I'm sure that they would have had another "argument" even if we didn't make the trade (Shaq is too old, JO sucks, etc).

Anyway I'm not reading nor listening to ESPN and other media anymore, it annoys me. It will be a pleasure to read their predictions and other "experts" opinions once they're proven wrong yet again in the playoffs.

When did Skip Bayless jump off the bandwagon? He's been proclaiming the Celtics as still the best team in the east even during our skid this month.

And by the way.. Check this out

Made me pretty mad to see 3 of 5 of these so-called "experts" say that we've removed ourselves from the title race by trading Perk. I'm with you, I'm seeing the team coming together very nicely the past couple of games, not falling apart.

In the end they don't matter. Have most of them ever picked Boston over the last few years? Only a few I can think of have.

I doubt that most of the teams Boston plays think the same as these guys.

Thanks for the article. Yeah you are so right about them saying Celtics fell off because of Perk. Most of the writers do not study the Celtics at all internally, so they should have no say. A Sherrod Blakely is a better source for whats goin on for the Celtics

I saw Skip yesterday on ESPN first take say if Shaq is not healthy, Celtics will only win one round smh lol. And he said Celtics have plummeted since the Perk trade and "lost that edge"
