My wife is pregnant! 1st born on the way! Wahoooo!!!

Family planning has brought us some good news! I'm so pumped right now I can't even sleep. Amazingly, I feel even closer to my wife (which I didn't think was possible).

What an exciting feeling!

Yeah so, because of complications that can arise within the first couple of months, we've elected to keep it between us for now. Thankfully, I have this community to share with to settle the temptation of calling all of my family and close friends.

I'd love to hear stories of other posters 1st go around.

Congrats on YOUR pregnancy...I capitalized yourbecause even though you aren't physically carrying the child, you will go through some of the same emotions/concerns as your wife.

We had two boys.

Get ready for some sleepness nights with the birth - but enjoy them. They do grow so fast...my oldest is about 3 months from being a teenager, and my youngest is growing into his own personality.

If you can or are able to - make sure you cut the cord. That, to me, is a great feeling in itself.

Raise the child right - make sure you put Celtics stuff in his crib and in his room .

Way to go, J! Congratulations, man, that's wonderful news. When we were expecting our son, people (with kids) kept telling me how wonderful life would be when he arrived. Tough but wonderful and so rewarding. Even though I work with kids every day, I had no idea. But they were right and then some.
