But the Celtics age is really showing. They get too tired in the 4th quarters and can't score anymore, just like in game 7 of the finals.

Looks like these Celtics will be remembered like the Detroit Pistons of a few years ago.

I hate being such a drama queen, anyone can prove me otherwise?

I really think the Spurs are last years Cavaliers, I don't see them beating LA.

Boston are going to be 3rd seed at this rate. No home court vs Bulls or Heat, Big 3 really starting to show their age, rebounding a huge problem. We're banking our hopes on the O'Neals. TOO MANY IFS.

We missed a lot of shots we normally make.

A few layups and point blank shots didn't go down.

We didn't get the benefit of the whistle...but that is to be expected since we are on the road.

So we can't win on the road or something??? all we have to do is win either one of the 1st 2 games of the series and we can regain homecourt advantage

I think BBD is showing his "age" more than the Big 3. Tonight Doc could have played KG or JO more minutes, and instead he stayed with BBD on the floor when it was clear he was too tired to run up and down the court. Doc is still experimenting with his rotation, but next week we will know if Nenad will be back, and Doc will adjust the minutes.

You are not trying hard enough, here's a TP but you have to keep on trying.

The Celtics are capable of winning on the road, but they aren't doing themselves any favor by losing out on the 1st seed this year.

The championship window is getting smaller by the day.

Co-sign and I just saw some stats the Hawks shot 37% from the field and 25% from 3 we mainly lost the battle of the boards there is no way that this team is done IMO

The good thing is that there are no back-to-backs in the playoffs, let alone road back-to-backs.

BBD's plateau is about 20-23 minutes, after that he looks gassed and plays horribly. I hope Doc realizes this going into the playoffs, we are amazingly shorthanded on big men now though.

Kristic could be out for the season, really bad timing for an injury :(

I like your attitude though, I'll keep rooting for the C's until they hoist banner 18 or go home early.

Bingo, with the IF on the O'Neals!  We got KILLED on the glass in the second half by the darn Hawks!  Imagine what happens when we play teams that have superior height/strength.

Last year we dominated the eastern conference for half a season before injuries slowed us down. This year we did it for nearly 3/4 of the season before injuries/the perk trade got us into a slump. It hurts to see the team lose out on the 1st seed after seeing them atop the standings for most of the season, but that's just how it is for "old" teams i guess. We saw how the C's played on a different level in the playoffs last season as compared to their regular season performance. Hopefully they could do that again this year.

eh just cuz we're not the number 1 seed doesn't mean we can't win the championship and Doc just said he doesn't care about seeding he just wants us healthy and I feel the same way like I said earlier I would be mad if this game was lost on effort just missed some easy shots is this how we're gonna act after every loss tho??

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

exactly.
a day off for these guys is crucial at their age.
we had a good showing..couldn't finish the job. played  really good half and got monstered inside again with no starting center.
Please wait for our full starting lining up and give them at least a playoff series together before you start completely giving up on this team.
We still haven't had a game since All Star break with our complete starting five.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
