I know it is only the regular season, but the Lakers by far are playing the best basketball in the league. Their front court is totally dominating anyone they play. Hopefully they lose something in the playoffs. Bynum is playing the best basketball of his career.

I was watching part of the lakers-mavs game and there were a few times where bynum just dominated the paint.  Shaq has the size to challenge him, but not the quickness or hops.  That is why it is so important that Shaq/Nenad/JO are all ready to go for the playoffs.  Very impressed with JO tonight.  IF Bynum keeps playing like this, he is going to be tough to contain.  But he has also had problems with consistency, so we will see.

Of course they are dominant, they are fully healthy.

Celtics with Shaq/JO/KG/Baby as our bigs are the only team that can match them in size. We are actually bigger then the Lakers this year, guys need to stay healthy though.

Thats why I think that if the Celtics somehow dont make it to the finals, the Lakers will win in 5 games. No other team has the talent/size combination of a healthy Celtics team.

We are the only team that is evenly matched and can take them down, nobody else.

Annihalating Dallas tonight. 15-1 or something like that since the all star break. Th may end up with the best record in the league.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Pfft... I'm not shocked. Everyone was talking about how they were in trouble and how they need a trade to shake things up. HELLO!!! Same roster than stomped through the west and won the title last season. The old excuse doesn't work for them when you compare them to us and how we're still laying down the law in the east. IMO, Shaq and JO will make us better than them, but of course they have to be healthy.

Yeah....Lakers look dominant...just like CLE looked dominant prior to meeting Boston in the playoffs last year.

ORL had some folks in fear, too...until they too - met Boston in the playoffs last year.

And when we met LA last year? Bynum played almost every game, Gasol did too...but it took LA seven games to beat Boston with KG being hurt and hobbled, Paul being banged up, Ron Ron's cheap shot on Ray's leg, etc...

LA "Looks" good, yep.

  • BEAT L.A.! Yankees s****!
I hate the Lakers as much as anyone on here, but I tell you what that team is looking like an absolute juggernaut right now. If we are going to beat those SOBs, we need to have BOTH Shaq and JO ready to go, because I hate to say it but the Lakers are the best team in the league right now and its not close.

Our C's are the ONLY team that can stop them, but we need to have the two Oneals ready to bang against their bigs.
I believe in God, Family, and The RED SOX!

Come on, we're all homers for our teams...But "Cleveland?" You're comparing a team that's never won anything to a team that has already won two championships in a row.

Yes, it was a good win...But that's it. Worth the same as any other win, and not even the playoffs.

People like to say that the Lakers are favorites because they have three seven footers. What they fail to mention is that those seven footers are as tough as marshmallows. Odom will immediately retreat to the perimeter following a good, hard foul from J.O. The KG/Pau matchup is definitely in our favor now that Garnett is actually healthy.

Shaq is going to send Bynum back to the playground. Bynum is a soft, finesse player because he was mentored by Kareem, a finesse player. This isn't the most crucial matchup, but it will be very interesting. Shaq is not going to let Bynum keep him from getting a fifth ring, it's that simple.

I still think the Spurs will manage that.  But yes, the Lakers are playing far better than anybody else right now.

i hate to say it, but having rasheed wallace is perfect for playing the lakers. why?

because he does a great job of getting in people's heads and frustrating them. tho im sure shaq and jo can do that too, but wallace was the best at that.

They might even look better than Cleveland and Orlando did late last year.
