When he comes back (when who cares)
shaq, jermaine, krstic true centers, kg and davis
kg, davis, green murphy pf
pp, green, old mind block on "foreign guy", wafer sf
ray, delonte, wafer sg
rondo, delonte, arroyo pg

that is one deep good roster which cause many different match up issues

Yea ...if it was do or die he might play soon. But I really doubt it.

I think Danny is leaving it up to Doc when to use him ( when Shaq says he can go )

I really don't see Doc using him till the last 2-3 games, I haven't since the injury was described (ol Lady is a PT), she shook her head it has to heal naturally much slower at his age. He might see linited action just in 6 minute or so spurts,  as a warm up for the playoffs.

Again, his spirted presence on the bench dressed and available , is a boost for the teams energy.

I know I want the big guy on my bench , let the other team worry about him a bit.

Now, to be clear, Ainge didn't say *which* Sunday or Tuesday it was going to be, right?  Just an indeterminate day of the week in the future?

Sounds about right. ;)

Sunday/Tuesday sounds about right for Game 1 + 2 of a first-round series, too.  The plot thickens...

This is what I don't get.  Yesterday, he said he had no idea, it could be one week, it could be two.  Today, Doc talks about the injury potentially bleeding into the playoffs, which worries him.

Now, Shaq will be back in as soon as three days?  What the heck happened?  I'll be glad if it's true, but it really seems like the team is making it up as it goes along.

I haven't listened to the interview, but I've seen it said that Ainge cited a medical update he received from Ed Lacerte for his change in expectation.

Ainge : "I felt more confident that Krstic was going to make it through the rest of the year healthy than Perk for sure".

What he meant to say: "I felt more confident that a medicore center who plays a little better offense and a lot worse defense than Perk was going to make it through the rest of the year healthy...."

We maintained the best record in the east with semi-pro for the most of the season. Perk was not a factor this year

Semih played with heart. He didn't speak well the language, and his shoulder is injured, got the rookie treatment by the refs, but he still did pretty well. He's on my wish list to be back in Boston playing for the Celtics.

Bring back Semih!

And Shaq will be fine for the playoffs, we're trying to see too much in this. While Danny has to play spin doctor role, he knows what he is doing. In the end, it will work perfectly or not, but I have the feeling this team can win the championship.

Go Celtics!!!

Hopefully it's that.  I don't worry because I think Danny's lying, I worry because I wonder if Danny and Co. were holding out with the hope would progress more than he has, but now have given up and we're going to see something closer to the Shaq of January rather than the Shaq of October/November.

Did u Danny???   Cause I'm pretty sure Perk is goin strong in OKC and Kristic just went down with a knee injury and it didn't look good. Hate to say it Danny but Karma is a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.. We need BOTH O'neals now more than ever  :-\

Sigh.  Talk about your jinxes.  I'm not a huge Krstic fan, but it sucks seeing him hurt.  Hopefully he's okay...

All previous dates aside, I heard on WEEI today that Doc or Danny said he'd be back by the playoffs now. Ughh, now this? Killing me
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
