Ultimate post player:
Dwight with Mchale. Dwight's defensive ability with Mchale's defensive ability and versatility; Mchale's offensive creativity inside Dwights once-in-a-generation size/athleticism combo.
Already bested that with the Shaq/Hakeem combo.
The thing to me about a Shaq/Hakeem combo is that legitimately it seems to defy the laws of physics. While its not unrealistic for a guy Shaq's size to develop a jumper like Hakeem's midrange or a softer touch around the hoop, it seems to me it would be physically impossible to replicate Hakeem's agile moves on offense with a guy that is 7'1 and easily 320+.
There are definitely some positives there..but I think a Dwight/McHale or even a KG/McHale, or a LeBron/KG, or LeBron/McHale pairing would play out better.
EDIT: Really if you wanted to make it unbeatable, you'd do a LeBron/Jordan pairing. LeBron would learn to be the leader he isn't, and he's so physically gifted, there was nothing Jordan could do that LeBron couldn't.
I am still taking my Dwight Howard / Rick Smitts hybrid over either of those.
Remember, skills do not stack - you get the better of the two.
With the Shaq / Hakeem combo, the athletiscism is redundant. Shaq's footwork is silly good, especially for a guy his size. Adding Hakeem ups the defense and the shooting just a little bit, and you are still 7'1".
Any of those KG / McHale / Dwight combos would be good, but you are still only 6'11". Plus, all of those guys are great defenders, so that skill is redundant.
The Smitts / Howard combo gives you all of Dwights athletiscism and defense, with killer shooting
on a 7'4" body.

Two more for you, absolutely killer:
Jordan / Nowitski - picture Jordan at 6'11" with a killer outside shot and shaggy blonde hair.
Iverson / Nash - picture Iverson as a good teamate, 6'4", with a killer outside shot.
