Brian Scalabrine and Gerald Green.  The physical gifts of Gerald with the BBall IQ of scal and team attitude of scal would be an awesome combo

Also, I guess I'll be the first one to go there:

Russell and Wilt.  Dominant on offense, dominant on defense, and the only stat he's obsessed with is championships.

And Bill gets lucky more often.

This one is the BEST. No competition

Well...a man named Hakeem Olajuwon comes pretty close to that alone..

Yup you got a point there...
Hakeem is very underrated, to me he surpasses Jordan, but still a notch below Russell, Kareem, and Wilt

A notch below? How so? Just curious...you mean title-wise? Dream did win 2.

Skill-Wise? Hakeem Olajuwon may be (IMO) the most complete Center to ever play the game...will to win, converted his free-throws, could score from inside or outside with ease....more post moves than even our own McHale...quick, intelligent, athletic, strong, tall.

I think the most amazing thing that Hakeem is doing now is actually teaching Dwight some post moves...Dwight is just about unstoppable now, with the exception of his temper.

You know what you're convincing me lol. Is he your number 1? Hakeem is the best in his era and beat all comers. Went to the finals and dominated the Lakers in '86 and went to the finals with a young team in his 3rd season

But I still put him just after Bill Russell. Russell's unselfishness is above the rest. Versatile like Hakeem (could bring the ball up, great hands, assists, steals, etc.) The fact that he could have scored more points (best season was about 20 pts per game) but sacrificed that for the sake of winning. Their defense is about the same, Russell guarding Wilt Hakeem guarding Shaq

Roy, TP and thanks for the therapy  ;)

Charles Barkley + Larry Bird would be really fun, and he wouldn't go without a ring.

Kevin McHale + Kevin Garnett would be a force at the PF, as long as he didn't go against Russell Chamberlain or Hakeem O'Neal.

Sabonis + Ralph Sampson would be impressive also, specially if they were able to use their two combined healthy knees.

Dave Cowens + any seven footer would be impressive, and any combo of Monster HOF should be careful about any seven feet Cowens. That leads to the ultimate big combination:

Dave Cowens + Sheed!!! Ball don't lie! a 12 time AllStar and 3-4 MVP

Let me throw this one out

Perkins and Walker (the healthy years)

Perk would have better post up moves, ability to hit an open shot while being a great defender and good rebounder.

Not to mention the larger Walker wiggle.  (with a scowl)   (TP for anyone who can make that image)

First of all, this is just about the best topic in a while.  Definitely worthy of HOF consideration.  I went to bed last night thinking of all sorts of combinations.

So many fun combinations to see - especially thinking about combining those players loaded with athleticism, but no drive, no IQ, with those players that are all heart and drive and teamwork.

eg: Kedrik Brown + Ryan Gomes
or Eddy Curry + Leon Powe
Celtics fan for life.

Ollie Miller and Manute Bol

Both had good skills.  One was to skinny, one was to round.  Together, good skill, really tall, and have some beef on those bones.

Rondo + Ray would be pretty nice.

Rodman + Dwight Howard would average 1,000 rebounds a game.

Avery Bradley + JR Giddens + Bill Walker would play a total of 3 postseason minutes for the Celtics.

I feel better about Big Baby after seeing that Miller picture.
