blaming the trade or anything else reminds me of this definition of an excuse...an excuse is a lie wrapped around a reason...

TP! Also a team with 4 current All-Stars still on the team and that won a lot of games with Perkins injured and not playing.

you know there are two things that really irk me right now...first of all...people want to make this an issue of the trade, rondo, injuries...what a bunch of garbage...last time i checked...basketball was a team sport...you win as a team and lose as a team...secondly...this is about accountability...this is their job and they get paid [dang] well to play a "game"...do you think your boss cares about what is going on at home or in your life or does he just care about you showing up and doing your job...so the real question is...do you want to hold them accoutable...or...do you want to coddle them and contribute to the malaise of professional sports...

Trade ruin chemistry...You win as a team, we had a great team, were winning with that team, blew up that entire team, and are struggling because of it. Now we still have to work in two main factors in our rotation when they come back from injury. Its not going to be an easy road, and its not really an excuse, its a simple fact that changing your team is going to result in some hard ships and rough roads.

You know I think some people don't understand how chemistry works. You can throw all the money in the world at a team and it's chemistry won't work well. You can put all the right parts together on paper and it still not work out in the real world.

Look at the Heat, even those three guys don't play all that well together.

Boston had that "it factor" for years now. It wasn't about statistics or stuff like that. Right now I don't see them having that. This isn't a well oiled machine. And it's too late int he year to "turn it on" with what we've got.

They better get it going right now or just give up.

What about last year when the team coasted around this time? Was it the chemistry that was the problem?

And by the way, we were winning when Perkins was out too. We didn't blow up the entire team. The team's four All-Stars are still in tact.

Here's who was traded: A bad back-up point guard, a backup SF who has potentially ended his career, two almost useless big men and one quality big man who had bad knees and was out for most of the year (when the C's had done just fine).

I don't think it's really an excuse.  This team was so talented because of the way they played together.  Our superstars wouldn't be superstars on most teams at this point in their careers, but they played such a great team game that it didn't matter.

We killed this team's chemistry at the trade deadline.  That's what kills me.  Don't give them an off-season to gel and learn each other - let's just change half the roster over half-way through the season.

Danny blew it up

Come on. The trade has now zapped the starters' ability?

It's not ability - the way that they play together just maximizes their production.  Kevin Garnett simply is not a superstar if you ask him to lead a team at this point in his career.  He counts on Ray and Paul and Rondo and vice versa.

I truly don't believe that Rondo is even a franchise player without these Hall of Famers around him but we'll see

He's right. Look at the teams PP and Ray and KG were on when they were putting up big stats. They were the focus of the defense on every play. Now people claim that they are unable to accomplish much because Rondo's man cheats towards them.

i'm sorry but all this whining, crying, pouting, excuses, finger pointing et al has to go...need i remind anyone what real tragedy and suffering is like...guess what...this team needs to grow up and act like "big boys"...i think this is called "enabling" in pyscho-babble terms...actually someone else might call it maturity...you know what they do...just like everybody else in this world...deal with it...in the immortal words of Alec Baldwin from "Glengarry Glen Ross"..."You're excuses are your own"...

They have dealth with it.  Nobody spoke out against the trade or complained about it to the media.  This is a group of professionals.

We're simply not as good of a basketball team as we were before the deals were made.  That doesn't mean we can't or won't make the Finals, now.  Our chances have just been lessened.

no...they have not dealt with it...and...neither have most of the fans...it's not the losing...it's how they are losing...but...even more...is doc calling them out and kg's and pp's remarks....that is the proof in the pudding...this is telling everybody what is really going on behind the scenes...the lousy play is just the evidence...just like coughing and sneezing are the symptoms of a cold but not the cold itself...the seams are splitting...and...no they have not dealt with it...
