Man that looked bad. Just went down hard and screaming after a foul when his knee gave way then they took him out in a wheelchair.

Dang, he was a FA next year also. Season may be over for him and the hornets.

::knock on wood::

hope our guys stay healhty for the stretch run.

Yeah that did not look good at all. He looks like he could be out for quite some time.

I dont see why they would bring him back or why he would want to come back seeing as the hornets are just first round fodder for the Mavericks or Lakers.

Yeah, that looked nasty. He'll have to play on a one year contract, prove he is healthy again, and then go for his big contract. I guess there is nothing definite yet, but that sure didn't look good.

They need to bring him back because he's a key player on my fantasy team, that's why darn it.

David West will be a free agent this summer.

Hard to see him risking his long term health for a club he is likely to leave (negotiations haven't gone well to date).

I always thought he was a little underrated.  I wonder what he would get in open market.  Maybe try to work a sign and trade with BBD, our trade exception, and a pick.  Not sure he is the long term answer but should be good the next few years as long as his knee is fine.

Well, that removes any doubt . . . the Hornets will not be a factor in the post-season.  That's tough news for a team that started off the year so well and for stretches looked pretty good.

Also means it's even more likely that Chris Paul leaves sooner rather than later.

Phew!  I just woke up and saw this and thought it said Delonte West for a minute.  I'm awake now!

Acually, I think David West has an option for next year, and he could probably have made much more money as a FA.  With the injury, he probably just plays out his deal.

And I don't think I'd give up big money for him.  He's not a #1 or #2 option, though he is a very good player.  That's the rub down in NO, so far as I've read.

He was amazing against us recently. One of the best games against Celtics all year. He plays bigger than I thought. Hope he is okay, dude works hard.

And the Hornets might not be in the playoffs.

Tough break for both West and the Hornets...West was having a pretty great season and I've always liked him as a player. The Hornets really won't make any noise in the playoffs now without him in the lineup. hopefully it doesnt hurt his stock in the free agency world.
