Such a good post... I've been trying to inform the blog of this disconnect for years... it doesn't work. Eventually you learn to ignore it. I wish there was a better fix but even if there was one, nobody would agree on it. We are a blog filled with many extremely opinionated people. In some cases it's horrible and in others it produces some of the best discussions you can have.
I promise I'm not being obtuse here. I swear, I'm not being facetious either. But
1) What exactly is the disconnect you're talking about? Please, define it for me in very concise and definite terms, because I sincerely do not get it.
2) What is the 'better fix'? What is the 'worse fix'? Should it be fixed, and is it even broke?
in his argument the "disconnect" is that instead of focusing on trying to get the best information out of threads people are more interested in getting quoted by you, roy and BFM in the hopes that people will start blowin up thier threads and feeding them TPs
and if that is what he's talking about there is no fix, it's just human nature. life on the internet is much like high school.
(note: I dont necessarily care/agree with the OP's idea. I personally could care less about being "accepted" I think you, roy and BFM make a lot of great posts and I could care less how many TPs you guys have. Kinda sounds to me like the OP just ate some sour grapes.
I knew people like that in high school. The kids who felt they just as, if not more so interesting, cool, smart as the popular kids but for some reason they just dont have the following.
Just my opinion as an outsider looking in, no one needs to be offended. You guys are all celtics fans so I love you no matter what!
