Doc just said on WEEI that Jermaine will join the team in Indiana, I guess Danny just went down to see him and said he looked great.

Good news, although he also said he probably won't play in that game.

The sooner he is healthy the better.

Low post defense is a major issue.  Davis plays with good position, but is susceptible to being shot over.

Neither Davis nor Krstic make players think twice about driving.

And Davis, Krstic and Green are all subpar defensive rebounders at the 4 and/or 5.

JO can help with all of this.

I honestly think at worst (besides not being able toplay) that JO will give us is what he was giving us at the beginning of the season. That wasn't much some decent D and rebounding and a shot blcoking presence at about 15 min a game.

At best though he could be a real wild card. If his leg feels a lot better than it did at the beginning of the season he could end up playing the biggest minutes at the C position. He is the best defensively and probably offensively as well. He might not play a ton of minutes but I don't think 20-25 minutes is out of the question at all

I think if we got this from him and with shaq starting we would be solid.  I thought he really played pretty well when you take away the fact that some games he was starting and looking for his supposed offense, which hasn't been seen in years.  But defense, rebounding and the key for me is shot blocking will all be helped by him.

When Jermaine decided to take our MLE he made a commitment to this team to be healthy and contribute. His defense, rebounding, shotblocking is needed badly. Lets hope he is up to the challenge

I don't know about that, Danny knew who he was, knew his limitations and injury concerns it was a risk.  Jermaine Doesn't owe it to us to be healthy, unless you think that he is faking or taking to long to come back.

I dont think Danny had full knowledge of Jermaines injury. If he did what would be the point of the signing, if he knew Perk would be out half a year and Jermaine practically the entire year? You might as well just signed Kwame Brown. At least he could have suited up and played the regular season.
The Celtics medical staff failed here.

Your are correct though"Jermaine Doesn't owe it to us to be healthy"
He owes it to his teammates and the Celtics organization to get his surgery and rehab taken care of in the summer. Its the same injury he had at the end of last year in Miami.

Danny did a lot of gambling  this year. JO and Wafer were a gamble.
And he just went all in with the Perkins trade.
He could end up being the best or worst  executive of the year.

I wish we had never signed JO.  He has been a total waste of space and I fully expect his knee to flare up again in the playoffs.

Certainly explains why he was in such excellent shape starting the season.

Hardy har har.  He'll be great for us next season.
