What I dont understand is why Rondo and Baby are taking the most shots.

What happened to the "Big 3"

They have completely gave up as far as taking part of the game and are basically letting the young guns run free.

We have been playing ball exactly like last season for the past couple of weeks.

I'm with you, dysgenic. There's lots of baby bashing here and lack of appreciation for his unique talents.

There's also bashing of every one of our players. I don't mind the critical thinkers who actually take into account the arguments presented and respond to them in a reasonable way, but the mindless bashing gets tiresome.

I'm going to say this and I'm sure I'll get bashed for it, but.....

Baby admitted he was wrong to take the 3 pointer. Problem solved. Baby has a history of solving his problems and learning from his mistakes. He will learn from this one.

Thank you.  I fully concede that he gets carried away with the jump shot at times, but the bottom line is that the guy is a competitor and a WINNER.

I totally agree with you about Baby being a winner. TP

You just explained why playing Baby with the first unit doesn't work and how the Lakers' Finals defense that everyone is playing with us. All you do is limit the big three to force Rondo and Baby to beat you. Which irks me that Doc still leans Baby to cripple this offense. Rondo, you and I both know would rather find the open guy then shoot, but defenses leave it to him and Baby. But if someone like Semih can net you over 100 pts it leaves me to believe Baby is the loser culprit.

Looking for a scapegoat again, well don't go to Baby. All the starters are playing crappy and seem like they forgot how to pass the ball properly. Turnovers constantly. Bad, bad passes.

I am also "all set" with BBD and I do hope that the Celtics let him walk this coming off season but it's not for the reason some might think. BBD has hit his potential as a player, this is who he is going to be and while that is serviceable and useful as a bench, role player or even a sixth man I do think that what he does bring us is replaceable.

Now I've never been a fan of BBD but he really doesn't deserve to be bashed that much cause he has played well but with that said, season is over, c ya later BBD.

I would rather see Green playing during crunch time, last 4 minutes or so, of games then BBD and yeah Davis might be better defensively but Green is much better offensively and more consistent. I could easily see the starters next season being Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Green and KG. That is if we get Green back, which could be tough.

Except for tonight… And the other night… and quite a few games lately…

I'Dbe a winner if I played with the Big 3 the past 3 years… That doesn't mean I am any good. Remember, Gabe Pruitt has a championship ring just like BBD does and he absolutely sucks. I'm not saying Gabe is as good as BBD, but he isn't necessarily the reason he is a winner. He didn't have a whole lot to do with the championship. That was more Powe than him. Since he has had a bigger role we haven't won squat. Maybe he really isn't as good as you'd like to believe.

Well ejplaya, seeing as you always blame baby for all the woes of this team, maybe you should consider that you could now be wrong.

I'd say the starters are the problem.

I like BBD's hustle and energy...but I hate the fact that he is such a selfish player. A blackhole on offense...hates passing.

True, Monk, Baby does need to learn to pass more, but I wouldn't call him a black hole. He's been pretty effective when his hands are hot.

Who should Baby pass the ball too?

The defenses are leaving Baby open....

True. But isn't that the case for every player?

Don't get me wrong, I like BBD's energy and hustle a lot...but you can't deny that he is a selfish player and blackhole on offense...I've already mentioned this once or twice tonight, but I'll repeat it again...there was play when he got the ball with about 18 seconds left on the shot clock...and he bricked it as soon as it was passed to him. He take a lot of bad shots...and for someone who (in his own words) is supposed to be the leader of bench players, its not smart at all.

That's right. I only blame Baby. That's why I just the other night posted a thread about Rondo playing like a chump lately. That's why in another thread I just ripped he and PP for their lazy play lately. Maybe over-exaggerated statements don't help your argument.

Considering you obviously think Baby walks on water, are you willing to admit the guy has any flaws and has any blame to go around?!

Disagree, Monk. I can't agree the other bench players are effective or ever have hot hands, except for Green, but he kills us defensively. Baby is one of our backbones on defense and you don't seem to notice that. He's also usually a consistent scorer, so it stands to reason he'll be sent the ball. A few games ago, he had what..a couple 20 pt games and most of his games have been good this season.

I'm not so worried about Baby as I am about the starters who can't seem to get a bucket.

Wow, ejplaya, I'm not even sure this deserves a reply but I will tell you to look 2 posts up and see that I do think baby has flaws, as all players do.
