Yes--because it would  mean Miami had put a winning team together.

No it doesn't.

What makes you think that the messiah would respect Rivers any more than he respects Spoelstra or Davis?

Really doesn't matter who the coach is there.  The messiah and to a lesser degree Wade run the asylum.

Mad? No
Sad? A little.

I like Doc and I hate the Heat. So I don't wan to see them together. But I couldn't hold it agains't him if he did it. It would give him another chance at a ring or two. And it's closer to him home.

Yes, I will be a little mad...mostly very disappointed.

Not if we could get Tibbs back from Chicago to replace him.

If Doc leaves the Celts and has the opportunity to coach the Heat in a few years, I would say good luck and have no anger toward him at all.

It depends on what our situation is at the time.  If we're in a transitional phase as a team and not contending then I wouldn't be upset at all.  What would be worse than seeing lebron win a title is seeing the lakers pass us for the most titles in NBA history, and I would love to see doc help prevent that from happening if we can't.

Doc said he'll only ever coach the C's (I think it was like 2 weeks after the rumours, just about Pierce was unfolding the mystery of that opting out, saying he'll never leave the C's)

I think the team makes the coach. Not that crazy about Doc. Doing a credible job and if he wants more green more power to him. He'd be closer to his family and maybe his wining would stop about missing them. The Celtics gave Doc a chance being a 500 coach. Maybe he'll take that into consideration. Bird never got over being overlooked by upper management.

I hope Doc stays as long as he'll have the job and tolerate us a fans.  I watched him play ball back in the 70's , he learned from the best coachs .  Pressure cooker. Not a job I'd want, he earns his pay.

Doc is good people .
