This team is too old, and with Rondo being such a pain to coach... i don't think they'll make it past the first round.

a lot of you are being silly right now.  This team inevitably will go through a slump.  They have a short period of time to get the new guys acclimated to the system before the playoffs start.  We gotta get them minutes while we can.  If the playoffs were to start today, Shaq would be playing.  Seems pretty obvious to me that the the priority right now is to get the new guys adjusted... so there's no rush to bring Shaq (or Delonte) back this week.  You really think if this was a playoff game we'd see Krstic and Green taking the most shots?  Come on now...

I love what I'm seeing.  This team is going to be scary good when they aren't using games as practice-time.  We are sacrificing a few regular season games to ensure everyone is prepared for the playoffs.

In the last game we had a stretch of minutes where our lineup consisted of Arroyo, Pavlovic, Jeff Green, Krstic and Troy Murphy.   What do you call that if not "practice-time"?  Let's be real.

Also noticing that in every game Doc is going out of his way to include Jeff Green down the stretch.  I think everyone is fully aware that this is all in preparation for the playoffs.. not necessarily what will help us win these regular season games.

I really think that a lot of this has to do with the the mentality that comes all the way from the top that the regular season is important, but not that important.

If that wasn't the case, why would management repeatedly state how certain players are going to miss games, but if it was the playoffs, they wouldn't?  And it's one thing when this happens once or twice in the season, but it's another thing when it's happening to a rotating 2-4 players the entire season.

So again, the C's didn't show up and they looked out of gas.  It isn't surprising.  The Big Four are getting overplayed because of this.  Also, how can you blame the players for taking the game less than seriously when management is holding guys out like Shaq, BBD, and D-West who they have publicly said would play if this game was "important" (a playoff game)?

Haha....i bet if you had made that bet last year at this time, someone would've had a nice bridge...they could've erected a toll booth on it and made a lot of money, because no one was expecting Boston to beat CLE, ORL and almnost beat LA last playoffs - all on the road.

If I had a dollar for every post last year about how this team *couldn't* make much noise in the playoffs I could easily buy that bridge. Add in this year's posts and I'd have a shiny new car to drive over my bridge on.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Dont forget the Knicks.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

Is frustrating to read some of you guys im sorry no ofense , but dont you guys see whats going on? Just lost 2 close games with mediocre teams yes ok i give you that , but the starters have struggle, meaning imaging how those games couldve finish if KG and Ray didnt go 7 of 24 combined , do you guys really think they going to struggle like that all year?

No way if anything what i see is a scary team, why , because when the injured guys come back the bench is going to be so deep that the whole NBA is going to hate facing the celtics.

Trust me guys remember i said it today , is not excuses im giving you is the reality , Ainge did know what he was doing , besides Perk he wanted too much money so all ainge did was get good players for him instead of loosing him for nothing , trust you will see the result at the end of the year , i see Dallas vs Celtics for the finals.

Calvary is on the horizon. Trumpet will sound and the Clippers and the Sixers of this league will disappear back into the desert.
