Ahhh.  A Celtics list.  You don't really think Cousy is better than Magic though right?  ;)
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels

After Russell, the rest of the list is in a random order.

So many ways you go with this. I am partial to bigs.   I am heavily slanted towards points production.

1) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
2) Moses Malone
3) Michael Jordan
4) Wilt Chamberlain
5) Kobe Bryant
6) Hakeem Olajawon
7) Oscar Robinson
8) Karl Malone
9) Shaq O'Neal
10) Larry Bird

I really only like the Celtics though.

My top ten Celtics would be, again I am big slanted :

1) Bill Russell
2) Larry Bird
3) Paul Pierce
4) Dave Cowens
6) Dennis Johnson
7) Kevin McHale
8) John Havlichek
9) Kevin Garnett
10) Ray Allen

Honorable mention for me Cousy, Chief, Reggie Lewis and Rondo.  I think naming the Celtics were harder for me, personally.

It's difficult for me to construct a legit top ten.  My first hand experience watching basketball only started in the late 80's, so many of the legends that are requisites on the "all time" list played before my time.  It's weird for me to put somebody on the list without having seen them actually play and going on their legend alone.  There's no doubt Russell, Cous, Wilt, Kareem and the like deserve to be on there, but I'm going to put my 1985 and after NBA top 10  ;)

1.) Jordan
2.) Bird
3.) Shaq
4.) Hakeem
5.) Kobe Bryant
6.) Tim Duncan
7.) Barkley
8.) Isiah
9.) Kevin McHale
10.) Stockton

(I'm sure I missed a few deserving people and didn't get the order right...man that was harder than I thought.)

This is probably the basis of Pippin's list. Players that he'd seen a lot of personally.

I think there are 3 worthy debates here:

Wilt vs. Russell
Gotta go with Russ, titles mean more than stats.  Speaking of stats, didn't realize Wilt only won 2 rings...

Shaq vs. Kobe
Even though the Diesel carried LA for 3, Kobe's won more and can shoot the ball outside of 6 feet.  More skill, more rings, better player.

Magic vs. Bird
This will get me flogged but... MJ has 5 rings to Larry's 3, and his sub-at-center-to-win-finals-as-rookie thing is unparalleled

Jordan
Russell
Magic
Bird
Kareem
Kobe
Wilt
Big O
Duncan
Hakeem

and I got Shaq at 11, only because of how Hakeem abused him in on his way to back to back titles.
