Doc was wrong. If he wanted to go where the players were he should've stayed in Boston. He was already making head coach money as an assistant right? Half the work, half the fame, double the rings? How much more money is he really making this year than last?
He's making more money with the Bulls.
He also has career goals, one of those is being a head coach. To pass on his best chance to land such a job to stay with the current Celtics team might mean that he never gets that chance.
That or he could've ended up coaching the best franchise of all time after Doc left.
I wasn't being completely serious. Obviously I like our guys better than Chicago's but being a head coach in the NBA is one of the coolest jobs I could think of.
Also I could've guessed he's making more money with the Bulls I was just wondering how much more. He was the highest paid assistant coach last year and I didn't think first year head coaches made all that much.
