I'll go 1st... I would in a heart beat... its not because of last night game either... I always disliked his reluctance and inconsistency. I actually believe Felton is a better pg overall. We saw how good he could be with other good players in NY, in no time he'll be start pg for Denver.

Presuming that nobody was threatening the the lives of me or my loved ones if I turned the trade down?

Then, um, no way in heck.  Why would I want to significantly downgrade the PG position?

I'd rather try and win games. Maybe we could also work out a Detroit deal where we trade PP/KG/RA for CV/Gordon/TMac?

The primary job of a point guard is to setup up his team's offense. Rondo does a fantastic job of that, and overall he's a better defender than Felton and a more efficient scorer.

Felton played like a borderline all-star for one-third of a season. Rondo has been a no doubt all-star for two seasons in a row, and he's progressing nicely from year to year.

He still cant shoot, hes also terrified to attack the paint and is still as inconsitent as ever.

So would you take Felton over him?

I'm pretty sure he would take anyone over Rondo.

As for the OP, not in a million years would I do that trade.

He takes 4 shots at the rim per game, he isn't always aggressive as I'd like but he's not afraid to drive the ball most games.

The ability to shoot doesn't equalize all of the other areas in which he's better than Felton. Eddie House, Nate Robinson, and Sam Casell could all shoot after all.

Felton has been a journeymen now already on this third team.  He is a better shooter but he can't touch Rondo on defense, nor boards and not to mention assists.

Thank the heavens your not our GM it might be worse than Pition even.

The first two responses remind me of that thread about Rondo and Jennings someone posted the other day from a few years back.

Felton is proving to be a nice PG who was probably just in the wrong system in Charlotte (who never had great shooters around him). Now he is excelling, but nowhere near the same caliber player as Rondo.

I've seen in a few of your posts the last couple of days that you're a little down on Rondo at the moment, but I assumed you were joking every time because you have an image of him for your avatar.  ???

People will continue to debate the merits of the Perk for Green & Krstic trade, but I think you're gonna find difficulty in finding people who will agree that we wouldn't be significantly worse with Felton in place of Rondo.

I was kidding with my post.

It was an imitation of a poster that used the same exact line in the second post of the "Brandon Jennings for Rondo" thread that popped up in 09.
