All-stars played well against him?  Did he get owned by DeAndre Jordan?

He did drop 20 on the other end...
And we lost. Great.  Can't wait till Krstic starts scoring 20 on those all-stars that dropped so many points on Perk

When will people get over it? PERK IS NO LONGER HERE!!! Of course some people are going to get behind NK and rag on KP b/c not only has NK played well (much better than anyone could imagine) but he is on our team!!! Who wants to have a love fest over a guy (good dude) that is no longer here? It's not as though people don't like what KP did but why keep talking about how great KP is when he is on another team? GO NENAD KRISTIC AND THE BOSTON CELTICS!!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I agree that we stop the comparisons.

But you aren't doing that.

Lets be real Perk has been owned by just about every player in the league at some point and a lot of them more often than not.

Kaman, Bogut, Bynum, Gasol, Lopez, Howard, Lee have all had there way plenty of times against Perk and those are just off the top of my head.

So just because he was a "team" guy and did the "dirty work" and had a few decent games against  Howard (who previously has been inept in the post anyway) that he is a game changer defensively.
All-stars played well against him?  Did he get owned by DeAndre Jordan?

Ok Perk did well against poorer centers in the league and bad against the better centers that sounds awesome.

I have no idea how he has done against Jordan but he is the exact type of guy that would give Perk trouble an athletic monster that would just jump over him.

I loved Perk on this team but this team made him. Time will tell how he does on another team but I think in our system with the defensive players we had the defensive coaches being in the same system for 8 years certainly made Perk look as good as he could, and I think he just about reached his ceiling.
So I guess Krstic is about to take off?

So if we trade Rondo for Eric Bledoe, Eric Gordon and a draft pick we should just shut up and nod and smile if people say "Oh wow. Eric Bledose is a much better shooter than Rondo. The Celtics made Rondo."?

Same exact thing

I don't even understand what you are talking about

Perk averaged 5 points a game and 6 rebounds....awesome. He is the 12th best center in the league awesome, Krstic is probably the 15th best and is our back up, what is your point?? That Perks defense is slightly better than Krstic's offense?

One center is good and the other isn't.

I don't understand why it's so great that one aspect of the clearly worse center is slightly better.

No it's not the exact same thing.  You're forgetting to mention that Krstic wasn't the main piece of the trade.  The main piece of it was Jeff Green.  If the trade was Perk for Krstic, you may have some argument, but we traded perk to get a back up 3 who is athletic and can score.
do it

Give me Raef.

Raef was an all-star and was a league leader in blocks, I'd probably take him over both Perk and Krstic

Krstic isn't good? Really? I can accept thinking Perkins > Krstic overall, but thinking Krstic sucks as far as centers go...I don't know if Krstic threw that chair at someone close to you or something, but you clearly have some hate for him. Infact, you admitted in another topic. So, WHY do you hate him again?

How is it one aspect? It's is pretty much everything on offense, better hands, better shot, better FT's, better finisher, better offensive rebounder, less turnover prone. You can say that about Perk that he is only better defensively when he reality there are a lot of things he is better at defensively.

I get that Perk is better than Krstic I'm not arguing that but you are short changing Krstic pretty bad and acting like Perk is an all-star when in reality he will never be one and still has yet to even be recognized enough to make a defensive team

Those days were so far behind him when he was a Celtic it was like they never happened.

Raef wasn't the defender Perk was at any point. How do you think he'd do against D Howard?

Oh boy...yet another one of these threads. People, come on...let it go! You're comparing the centerpiece of the trade for OKC to the secondary player in the trade for Boston. And, while we're at it, you know how Perk would have played tonight? Oh right...he wouldn't have. He has yet to play for OKC. And I highly doubt he'll be the Perk we know until maybe next year...hopefully for his sake. If Kristic was traded for Perk, that would probably be a bad trade because Perk gives us more on D than Kristic does on O (though I'm kind of not sure about that). But Green was the centerpiece. So, yeah, if you want to compare Perk vs. Kristic, knock yourself out...Perk is better. Maybe. If healthy. So...yeah, not even certain about that. But that wasn't the deal. Perk and Nate, both who are injured, for Green, Kristic, and a #1.

I'm not a big fan of players that play the game because they're tall. I'm also not a fan of players that don't play defense because they might chip a nail.

That's what I've always gotten from Krstic. Always.

Exactly! Not to mention that I wasn't arguing who the best player is nor did I say shut up... I basically told you that people are probably cheering on NK and ragging on KP because NK is on OUR TEAM, while KP is with another! I wanted KP to stay but it didn't happen, I am going to support the people who can help get 1825... the other players NOT a Celtics is of no concern to me (no matter how much I like them)!
