This is sorta in response to some of the Nenad is a better offensive player than Perk stuff.

This has got to stop.

I am so so so sooooooo tired about hearing about how good an offensive player Krstic is.

First of all...no he's not.

None of you ever said at any point ever even one time between all of you during any playoffs anything along the lines of "Oh man. This is close. If only Perk were Krstic. I mean we could really use a good offensive center like Krstic out there"

Get over him. The man is Raef Lafrentz without the toughness.  He's a slow small forward who is 7 feet tall.

Second.  He has a better fg% and ft% than Bill Russell so he must be a better offensive player than him, right?

Third...he was pwned by DeAndre Jordan tonight. Would a healthy Perk have allowed 21 and 9 by DeAndre Jordan?  So even if Krstic is better offensively what good is it, when you let a player like DeAndre Jordan do that?

Fourth...back in the day Perk had big games too. It's ok you forgot. Maybe a reason he didn't score as much was that he didn't have to. Krstic scored a lot tonight? Did it help? Did it matter?

Yes. Players can do things better than other players. That doesn't make them better. Or even in the same league.

No kid on this planet, outside of maybe former Yugoslav Republics has or ever had a or ever wanted a poster of Nenad or will ever ask for one. NEVER!  A Nenad poster is the kind that your grandmother gives you for Christmas cause it's $1.99 at the bargain bin or 25 cents at a yard sale and you're like "Oh boy! It's a poster of a Celtic. I hope it's.....Nenad Krstic. Thanks. Grandma."

Kiss your Grandma.

I don't wanna

Kiss your grandma.

Thank you grandma.

Johnny. The man that sold me that said he's a Celtic and he's a good player.

Thank you Grandma.

Can I go upstairs and play Nintendo?

Seriously.  I'm curious. How many of you are thinking of giving your kid or your nephew a Nenad poster? Anyone?  Anyone at all. Pipe right up.

Just waiting for Paul Pierce to get traded for Gerald Wallace so we can hear about how much better a rebounder Wallace is.

I'm pretty sure no one wanted a Kendrick Perkins poster either.  Krstic is a GOOD offensive player, but he's a terrible defensive player.  He's the opposite player of Perkins basically.  The guy plays a good game, has 20-9 and you're hating.  He's going to be our back up center.  The trade was to get Jeff Green not Nenad Krstic.
do it

If you didn't like toughness then you probably didn't consider getting Perk posters.

Celtics D isn't purely one on one. Got killed by penetration tonight, that he then had to help on, which is the guards' fault.

Our point guard conceding 28 points (mainly from the perimeter) in the game and Garnett and Rondo's poor shooting nights cost us. Dont place the blame on a second string centre that is starting due to injuries.

At the moment I would take 20 points and 9 boards from Krstic than some encouraging words from an injured Perk on the bench.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

I agree that we stop the comparisons.

But you aren't doing that.

Lets be real Perk has been owned by just about every player in the league at some point and a lot of them more often than not.

Kaman, Bogut, Bynum, Gasol, Lopez, Howard, Lee have all had there way plenty of times against Perk and those are just off the top of my head.

So just because he was a "team" guy and did the "dirty work" and had a few decent games against  Howard (who previously has been inept in the post anyway) that he is a game changer defensively.

I don't personally have children, but if I did and they wanted a Krstic poster, I wouldn't mind....

What was the point of that part, again? The way you're hating on Krstic, I'm surprised you gave him the credit of actually having posters to buy just to say no one would buy them, instead of outright saying he doesn't deserve to have posters of him.

Also, people have made topics (or fanposts) wanting Perk traded LAST SEASON. Someone wanted Biedrins. That's how much they wanted Perk gone.

Bitter much. That's not even gonna be said as a question from me.

All-stars played well against him?  Did he get owned by DeAndre Jordan?

Biedrins.  Now there's a center with some potential.  He's not a Nenad.

Yes, as his knees would snap on contact.

Yes, that's why I would never want a Perk poster.  I'm not even sure what your definition of toughness is.  Why is Krstic not tough? Grabbing 6 offensive rebounds sounds tough to me.  He's not a good defender, we know that, but he's a talented offensive player.
do it

Ok Perk did well against poorer centers in the league and bad against the better centers that sounds awesome.

I have no idea how he has done against Jordan but he is the exact type of guy that would give Perk trouble an athletic monster that would just jump over him.

I loved Perk on this team but this team made him. Time will tell how he does on another team but I think in our system with the defensive players we had the defensive coaches being in the same system for 8 years certainly made Perk look as good as he could, and I think he just about reached his ceiling.
