I agree with what a lot of you have said. In an ideal world, we wouldn't have all the extra perks that are designed to attract the wealthy casual/average fans. I think the Celtics organization has done a great job of compromising - a louder than "old school" PA announcer, the starting lineup presentation, and SOME in-game music. In other words, we're modern enough, but still the most traditional.
We never have music blaring over the PA during live play (to me, this is what clearly separates us from the rest of the league), and our PA announcer is the least obnoxious one I've heard in the NBA. Not to sound too snobby as a basketball fan, but if we could just get rid of the "everybody clap your hands" thing, I'd be perfectly content. IMO, that's beneath us.
