OKC is known for their strict medical standards (for as long as they have been in the OKC). Therefore they probably made Nate get the surgery rather than play through and are probably making Perk wait longer than the Celtics would have with his injury.

Especially since Nate is under contract for next year and didn't figure to play anyways. It only made sense to get him right, even if its to set him up as a trade asset next year.

Presti concocted this injury.

He realized that while OKC fans would be upset if Nate sits for the rest of the year, they would be even angrier if they actually had to watch the guy play.

You really think they made up a fake injury instead of just benching Nate?

I think you underestimate Thunder fans.

makes danny's trade make more sense...say we had done nothing. right now wed be going into the rest of the season with injuries to shaq,jo, perk, nate, delonte, semih, quis, Baby....that would put ALOT of pressure on our starters, and could lead to them getting injured/tired out.

now, with the trades danny has a relatively healthy bench to fall back on to get us through the rest of the season and into the playoffs.

I think the OKC fan base will love a healthy Nate.

A healthy Nate is pretty explosive off the bench.

So that answers the question of whether the C's knew or not.

Of course. Didn't you guys know the Celts knew everything that was going to happen in the future prior to this trade?

They knew Semih will go back to Turkey.

They knew they couldn't sign Perk

They knew Nate would have knee problems

They knew they could get Troy Murphy

They knew Jermaine O'Neals knee would be healthy for the playoffs.

They know all this stuff.
