Arroyo isn't a "wing".

None of the available wings really interest me a whole lot.  Pavlovic sucks, and his first name would remind me too much of Vujacic.  I hope we don't sign him.

Azubuike I like, so long as there are no expectations that he's ever going to play in green.  As a low cost reclamation project, I'd be on board.

If I was Danny, I'd try to sign Powe and Arroyo, and call it a day.  There just aren't any NBA quality players floating around at the 2/3 who are still available.

There are major doubts Azubuike can play pro basketball again and it's certain he won't be able to do it this season. Plus, his last NBA game was 500 days ago. There'll be plenty of time to sign Azubuike.

They should do what they did with Lafayette and that other kid, the local, last season, but this time around pick guys who can actually play.
The guys who can actually play are already on rosters.

There is a reason guys are available from October until March.

I realize arroyo isn't a wing , but we need a 3rd string PG in case dwest gets hurt. And I would agree with you , after looking at whats available I would rather just go with Powe and Arroyo.

I disagree. One year ago Gary Neal was available to be signed. Now he's averaging 20 mpg and 10 ppg for the team with the best record in the league. Don't you think it would have been a good idea to sign Gary Neal 1 year ago to one of those multi-years non-guaranteed contracts for the minimum?

I bet we'll end up signing Mario West.

We're not going to find a better offensive player than Von Wafer so it should be a defensive move.  They just need someone to throw at Wade or Kobe for a few minutes if we have some foul trouble.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

The only thing West has going for him is that he was in the training camp and is now Maine running many of the same sets (and has the reputation of being a good defender). Bradley can defend better than him, not to mention some other guys in similar situations (however the fact that West has some familiarity with the team/system, should make the difference... same reason Chris Johnson was called up). But I don't seem much sense in signing a guy like West. Either sign a talent who may blossom into a contributor next year (to have him tied to you through out the off-season/summer leagues/training camps) or some real NBA veteran like Stackhouse or Pavlovic in the hopes of a brief revival.

Pavlovic... ugh, total non factor so it's a moot point, might as well sign Powe for the feel good story and to complete the roster.

After the O'Neals Danny seems to be done with signing the old guys, and after Nate he seems to have sworn off of the undersized payers as well.

Nobody

West's wrist, by his own admission, is not going to be 100% for another 5-6 months. Who do we have as our back up PG if he goes down in the playoffs? Arroyo can't hurt as the 14th man on our roster.

It's his non-shooting hand. He could wear a hard brace if need be.

It's the rest of his body I'm worried about over then next 3+ months.

Insurance policy, and not a terrible one.  Pavlovic won't contribute much if he gets on the floor, but I don't expect him to screw up much either.  And he has a little bit of big-game experience too.

Not exactly a game-changer, but better than nothing.

No thanks. Guy sucks. Talk about a waste of a roster spot.

I would like to see one or two D-leaguers before we decide on anyone like Powe, who we already know.
Othyus Jeffers, sounds like he could fit in nicely as a wing defender.
