I haven't seen a lot of Pavlovic since he left Cleveland but he used to be a solid defender (average to slightly above average) with a streaky perimeter jump shot. If he is still able to play at that level, this is a nice signing.

Useful player as a big two guard and has enough size to give some minutes as a three if needed. A liability on the boards as a SF though.

Don't like the move.

Why sign a retread everyone knows can't play? Just because he's been in the NBA? During which time he's shown he can't play. Makes sense.

Why not try your luck with the D-League? Some useful guys come out of there. Worst case, you're just as screwed if your D-League flop is playing as if Pavlovic is playing, who you know will stink.

Othyus Jeffers. Better athlete, probably better defender, can score garbage buckets and can rebound. Potential to be a TA type who, for better or worse, is and has been rotation worthy for playoff teams.

Everyone?  I think he can play.  He's not that good, but certainly better than a dleague player who doesn't even belong in the NBA.  C'mon, he's 3rd string!  Who did you think you were going to get to play 3rd string? Carmelo Anthony? ::)

You guys underestimated Krstic, and I knew all along that he would be terrific. I know Pavlovic's game and all I can say is that he will be fantastic for us in the minutes he will get.

What if they just end up needing 2-3 minutes out of him and don't want it to turn out like Sheldon in the finals?

Nothing wrong with a guy to provide some depth.

Scouting report:

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Sasha-Pavlovic-3894/

Sounds like he was one of the best wing defenders in Cleveland!!

If he defend solidly on the perimeter for 7-10 minutes every other game, that helps.  That is ALL we need at the SF spot with Green now on board.

We are already loaded with bigs.

What free agent big are you referring to? You do realize we are limited to signing free agents if we want them to play in the playoff?

Without a name, you really don't have an argument for taking a big over Pavlovic.
