Thank god. The last thing we need is another player to have to worry bout injuring himself every other play. C's are already stocked with those

Agreed.  I wish him luck though.

Yeah the nicest thing about these incoming bodies is peace of mind when seeing them sprint or play really hard and not have to think..."maybe you should slow down for a couple of plays!".

I'm glad at least someone signed him, the fact that scalabrine is sitting on a bench in chicago eating cake to get even bigger man boobies for his fat pig self, while powe has to rehab his legs to make money just to support himself, is quite sickening and unjust. I hope he can work that knee back into shape in Memphis. Wouldn't mind having him take the JO or Von wafer spot next year on the bench for us though..

I think memphis if they stay #8 seed, can give the spurs a run for their money, memphis doesn't have a bad team right now..

The man lacks any bball IQ, had no game besides stand still 3 pointers, couldn't dribble, ran like he had poop in his pants, was not a playmaker, sat on the bench making 3 mil a year which forced us to cut promising players from training camp, I could go on forever. It'd turn into a 5 page essay if I keep writing.

He's vastly overrated by some people, and he was never a 'leader' since he played 1 minute a game if he was lucky. The fact that till this day he's still stealing a roster spot (now in chi) from players who deserve it still annoys me.

It looks like he will be signing with memphis. I dunno but I still think Leon has something he can offer, especially to the Cs.

Leon can still finish around the rim.. and I think to the Celtics style of play they need more players like that. Guys that will get dirty around the rim. Yes hes got some bumb knees but I think the risk and reward for him going towards the post season run is a good gamble. Now as your 15 you have CJ who has height but is too light to make any impact. You also add some chemistry back to the team and someone who has familiarality to the system.. and some added muscle & grit.

Im not sold on Troy Murphy or N.K for that matter..

Well Leon has already had a couple good games in memphis while Troy/Sasha combo has given us nothing.. I still stand by the Cs should have picked him up

Why would we really need Powe here after all the moves we have just made?

Exactly.  Powe would not get any playing time ahead of Baby or Green.  I'd rather have Murphy because he can knock down shots and still can rebound as good as Powe.  Powe wasn't good defensively anyway.

I dont know what games you guys are watching but im seeing very little interior presence. Who is your depth? Your happy with Troy Murphy and Sasha coming off the bench? Well then thats your opinion and I feel differently

Edit.. and how many shots has troy knocked down so far?

Because the Davis/Powe combo on the court is a negative for the Celtics.  Each on their own with a different front court mate can be good, but together, bad.

Yeh I dont agree. I do think the second unit needs someone to stretch the floor a little but Troy and Sasha were not the answer for that. And with the amount of perimiter jump shots BB takes it would not hurt to have another real interior player out there. But its over and done with.. I just think he would have made much more of an impact than any of the releases we picked up.

Tomorrow should be fun.. TA and Leon both in town

After seeing how good Powe was tonight I'd much rather us have gotten him back than Murphy.

Albeit tonight could have just been a great game for him with many no shows before... Idk I don't see the Grizzlies play very much or look up their stats.

I think it is very easy to come to the conclusion that Powe would be a better signing just after tonight. But dig deeper. Powe provides the same attributes that Big Baby brings, except with a smaller body. I'd prefer Big Baby and the Murphy's floor stretching abilities.
