From Frank Isola's (Knick beat writer and NBATV/TNT contributor) twitter.

Quote
Eddy Curry, a league official tells The News, is negotiating a buyout with Minnesota. Don't rule out Eddy ending up with Boston

I know this a very weak rumor, but I wanted to know what people thought about this possible move. We do have 2 available roster spots and basically all of our bigs are injury prone. It seems like a low risk, high reward type of situation.

Thoughts???

Honestly, its not terrible.  He will be motivated to earn a contract, and could do some real damage in the post against a team like Miami.

Ultimately though, I would be shocked if this actually happened though.

I can't see it, but I guess you never know.  I'm doubtful that Eddy Curry is the answer to mending any chemistry issues the team might be having, though.

No thank you. I'd rather keep Chris Johnson on the roster.

No, absolutely not. He is an out of shape, off the court nightmare who shouldn't be in the league. I'm not sure what other big men are out there but so far the names I've heard are not appealing.

This is one of those trust in Danny things.  I see very few ways he helps this team, except one.  He would be glued to the bench until (and if) we met the Lakers, and then he would be go for six fouls and punishing Bynum and Gasol, both weak, but tall players.  If Danny signs him, he sees a reason, but weak rumor, and not much upside there.

Do we have chemistry issues? I havent' heard anything about that? I mean, I know Perkins left, and that will take some adjusting to get over for these guys, but they just finished off a 3-1 road trip under the most difficult of circumstances.

In fact, had the ball bounced a little differently in the Denver game, they may have gone 4-0.

Aren't both Krstic and Green good locker room guys?

No thank you. I'd rather keep Chris Johnson on the roster.

Chris Johnson is the worst. The kid may never make it out of the D-League again. I'd take Curry over him in a heartbeat.

While I agree with everything everyone said on here about this guy, I don't think it's the worst idea ever.  I mean, if we can get Brewer, we would still have one spot left, and one more big couldn't hurt.  Johnson is not the answer.  When I saw him playing last night, I thought it was Manute Bol's little brother!  I mean who knows, maybe if this kid gets around some real pros like Allen, Pierce and Garnett, he might just learn some things.  Also, like someone else said on here, it's 6 more fouls we get against Howard, Bynum, Gasol or Duncan.

I think chemistry includes trust and it was clear that Rondo did not completely trust Jeff Green and sometimes didn't look his way much and some other guys did too. That doesn't say that they think Green isn't talented, I just think that they don't know how he plays the game, his hot spots, etc.

Krstic gained some trust because he started and saw some time no doubt in practice with the starters so they learned some or most of his game. The same thing will happen when Murphy comes in.

Chemistry takes some time. They knew Nate's game, Perk's, Marquis and was just starting to understand Erden's and Harangody's. They'll get the chemistry down, hopefully before the playoffs.
