Now that Troy has committed to us, and Perkins quickly signed an extension that would have been way to much to afford, Danny has been completely vindicated for making the trade. It took guts to do what he did. Kudos to Ainge for making this happen.

I think it's fair to say now that the set of post All-Star moves look very good on paper.  Still remains to be seen how everything shakes out on the court though.

But I think Danny has done a tremendous job of putting us in a position to win, which is all you can really ask of a GM.  Now the players and Doc have to get the job done.

Not too mad about the Kendrick trade, even though it ruined our contention this season, it was good for 2012 and beyong...dumping Erden and Harangody was still ridiculous though

I'm a big Perk fan but we're still contenders.

C'mon, i was reluctant, but Danny won

1) 9mln per year is too much and now we know Perkins are not going to join LeBron, Wade and Bosh
2) Danny replace Perkins for two vet minumum (Shaq and Troy!) and Krstic (useful body). Plus he added Green.
3) We have a good cap situation over the next years

Collateral reflections: Perkins is injuried; we lost in defense but we gain in offense; We finally have a good free trhrow shooting team; we have an insurance for BBD if he want too much.

We still need to see how this retooled Celtics team plays when it really counts.

They'll still be doubters to Danny's moves.  This team needs to win a title to appease many of them.

We dumped those two guys, neither of which would have played in the playoffs for us for Troy Murphy and potentially Corey Brewer.

Still think it is rediculous?

Even if we do I don't think that will change many people's minds.

I like to think Perk is really a sleeper agent for Ainge now. Danny sends him to OKC so he can cause havoc in the West, notabley against the Lakers ;)

Not only are you still contending today, Ainge has me even more excited for 2012. Man, he has us setup for gold. Smart GM

Erden > Murphy

as for Brewer...if we do make that happen, that's obviously a huge upgrade over Harangody, but it doesn't really fill a position of need when we have Green coming off the bench.  We need a tough guy on the inside.

Let's see...

Erden and Harangody for Murphy and most likely Brewer...

Perkins & Nate for Nenad, Jeff Green and a Clippers Lottery pick, even if it is top 10 protected...

Um, I'll take those deals.

Haha...yeah cause Harangody was doing so well!! You realize if Danny doesn't dump those two scrubs, he can't add Troy Murphy or anyone else, right?????

Harangody is useless, do what you will with him.  But Murphy isn't going to be a better fit here than Erden
