Corey Brewer is also a player that the Celts looked long and hard at during the draft a few years ago.  I think his slashing abilities would compliment Rondo's game really well during the middle of quarters just as Tony Allen's did, but at the end of the game you switch back to your shooters because his offensive deficiencies will only be highlighted with Rondo out there.

Any time you have the opportunity to pick up a young long defender who has proven he belongs in this league, you take it especially when you are perennially drafting int he late 20's.

Does he really have slashing ability? I heard his handle is off the charts terrible for a perimeter player.

Tony had erratic but effective handle.

I should have said he is a good finisher and moves well without the ball along the baseline  ;)

His handle is sort of like watching Gerald Green or JR Giddens take their man.  Tony was great at getting to the basket on his own but I was referring to his ability to cut to the basket when Rondo drove.  It's kind of the benefit when a player isn't a good shooter because they would rather finish at the rim than have Rondo catch them wide open with a 15 footer.

I hear you now. I want him too by the way!

His offense is so so but his defense is excellent and he's a solid rebounder. Would be a nice piece to have come off the bench.
