Sadly, I think that would be enough to get out of the East.

Both of them would be highly motivated and would provide just enough help to the two glaring weaknesses the Heat have.

I would love to get Brewer either way. He would be great going forward and a fantastic piece for rebuilding.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I think everyone is forgetting that New York and Chicago play in the East as well...

I just talked to Shaq and he said Stan Van Gundy is no longer the Master of Panic.

Murphy and Bibby are not going to decide the East. Whether they are on the Celtics, Heat or anyone else.

yea because Murphy is going to guard shaq is the low post?

and Bibby is going to stay in front of Rondo on D?

Miami won't even get past Chi if they meet in the second rd

Your right. Troy Murphy and Mike Bibby are all star caliber players and will slide into the Heat starting line up and will destroy the Celtics.

Troy Murphy is the best big man in the league. Bibby is one of the best guards.

uh no...as i said in the other forum

them coming here will help us, them going to the Heat will also help us

theyre in boston only to provide fouls/rebounds and resting time for the starters,  both are defense liabilities

them going to Heat, yeh it would help them a bit but come playoff times when everyone is healthy i believe, Shaq and Rondo WILL eat them alive

boston getting AND keeping shaq, JO and West healthy will decide the East more than bibby and murphy

I don't like the idea of Miami getting better at all. But I don't see this being enough.

He's kind of right. Anyone who's seen the Heat play the Celts or watched the Bulls/Knicks play the Heat can see how things are trending. A couple of buyouts won't be enough to change that.

Like I said, I think those two players will provide just enough for Bosh, Wade and Lebron to get out of the east. I never said they were all-stars. They will however give them enough to play in half court sets which they can not do now. Shaq, JO and West have been dinged up all year, I do not expect all three to be OK for the playoffs. If by some HUGE stroke of luck they are, then agreed, we take the title in a walk.

The hyperbole out there these days is almost laughable.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

Bibby won't be allowed to do anything more in Miami than what Chalmers or Arroyo do, and he's a worse defender than either of those guys.

Murphy would help the Heat out a bit, but he's got his defensive issues as well.
