I heard they may still want him as they lack size.  A lot depends of Troy if he demands one he will get one.

It's called 'buyout season' for a reason. When they buy out a contract the different parts are negotiating certain aspects, I'm sure it will take a few days in most processes for a buyout to occur, unless it's absolutely clear from the point of trade (e.g. Payton/Toine trade).

I don't think it's in Murphys interested to be playing backup minutes in Golden State. He's a 30 year old NBA veteran who's never been in the playoffs. Unless Golden State is suddenly hit by a plethora of injuries I'm sure he'll be bought out soon. Furthermore.. They recently signed Jeff Adrien (PF) for the remainder of the season which could signify that they don't plan to have him around, regardless of what he says.

The news always slow down during the weekend and pick up at the start of the week, so we should hear a lot more news tomorrow.

If the Warriors buy him out, it makes the most sense that he joins Miami, not Boston.

I hope none of these guys get bought out, and we just find someone around to add depth. Them getting bought out is going to bite us in the ass since roster situation is more attractive in other teams at the same level of good as ours.

Kind of a side-note, but I found this report about a GSW owner conference call quite interesting:

Quote
# Murphy may yet suit up. It is not certain that he will be bought out. Lacob is still evaluating that one.

# Lacob sought the advice of a "GM of a franchise that has recently won the championship" -- hmmm, lemme guess: Danny Ainge? We can only speculate! -- in regards to how to deal with a coach in which you are not sure of his approach. The GM's response (note: this is NOT word-for-word, but more the gist of it): "I still have such problems with my current coach! In short, let coaches coach. Let them do their job. This happens all the time."

http://tiny.cc/6cqhl

The speculation that is Ainge makes sense as Lacob is a former minority owner of the Celtics and he's close to Ainge. It also looks like something Ainge would say about the coaches. Ainge can't influence his decision, but considering the close ties, he probably has a good understanding of what the probabilities are.
