This is just disrespectful. The guy clearly put a lot of time and effort into his post, for you to just dismiss it is a joke. You can say you disagree, but don't call it a bad post.

I think something some people need to read or learn the meaning of, is the word potentially. Did the OP call it the best trade in celtics history? No.

But he said it potentially could be one of the best, and he is right. Will it be regarded that way? Most likely not. Could it potentially be? Yes.

If Jeff Green becomes a core member of this team and we win a couple more rings in the next few years and then the added roster flexibility allows us to keep winning for the next decade, then yes it could potentially be called one of the best trades in team history.

I agree. As fans of the Celtic's, we should stop and read what we write before we post it. Maybe a more subtle way is, "I disagree with you opinion because..."

There is the potential (and I repeat "potential") that we just traded away the next Sam Bowie...

I am amazed that Danny traded away THREE injured players and got a valued return for them...

I find THAT to be the most amazing part of what Danny achieved...

Well, if you put the emphasis on "potentially" then you never know?  What if Perk is never the same, and Jeff Green sticks around and we win a couple titles?  What if he becomes that 4th piece we need to prolong Pierce and Ray's career?

OKC fans are thrilled to be getting Perk and they knew Green was awkwardly out of position.  Their end doesn't have to be a total bust for the C's side to be a huge franchise boost.

Well IF Shaq can play 25 minutes a game and IF JO comes back healthy and IF Danny signs someone worthwhile to at least one of the open roster spots and IF Doc can pull a miracle and integrate 3-4 new guys into the Celtics system with 25 games left and IF the Celtics actually get to the finals, I will call this a good trade. I don't like the trade, but I won't call it good or bad until the season plays out.

Thrilled?  I don't know about that.  A big guy on two injured knees.  I wouldn't like my chances

We had a starting five that had won a championship together and been to the finals last year. Danny shouldn't have tinkered with it. I love the fact that Green is a Celtic...Krstic is another story.

Perk and Rondo played very limited roles on the 2008 championshp teams.  PJ Brown probably played more minutes than Perk in the finals and Rondo was benched several times in the series.  He was too young to handle it and that's why Cassel was brought in.  The big three carried us to the title that year with some timely contributions from PJ and Powe in the playoffs, and Posey and House all year long.

Obviously Rondo's role on the team is much larger now, and Perk's while he was here was only slighly larger.  Sure they played on a championship team but they weren't huge factors.
Heck even Pollard got a ring with us; so does that make him a valuable player?

All I've seen the last 2 years were threads concerning a need for a another wing. DA does this and now there's complaining.

My question to those who thing DA screwed up is what was he supposed to give up to get a player like green? Its not like we had a lot of chips we could spare.  
Its not like we struggled whille perk was out.

I liked perk, but we can(and will) be better at the position.

Do any of you honestly think the guy who was smart enough to put this team together is just going to blow it up for no reason?

Yes, I was obviously advocating about keeping every player that won a ring with us....you forgot to include Gabe Pruitt, Sam Cassell, Scalabrine...unreal.
