The mavin of this thread just made it hurt to think Perk is now not in Celtics talk. Hopefully he comes back I wish him well.
The irony is that the only way we have a chance of getting him back is if he is injured (damaged goods). Otherwise, we can't afford him. For his sake, I hope that doesn't happen.
The misfortune of Perk's injury, however, should underscore what many on this blog who have been supporters of the trade, either from the beginning or after the shock/emotion of losing Perk subsided enough to rationally evaluate the trade have considered as the major factor in doing this deal: the uncertainty of Perk's health and his durability for this year and beyond, but especially this year, if we are supposed to be "all in" as we all have bought into and believe should be.
