A Salute to Cold, Hard, Calculating Danny Ainge

I like having a GM who does what's in best interest of the team, short-and-long term versus just "playing it safe" and irrational, emotionally induced decisions.

Sign 3 more 2011 contributing players, keep the Core Four Healthy plus 4 capable rotation position players and #18 here we come! 

Next year with Trade including stockpiled Draft-Picks or the Summer of 2012 when he's a Free Agent, throw the kitchen sink at Dwight Howard! Young-All-Star-Howard/2-yr-Older-Big-3/Rondo would be freaking sick starting lineup!!! (Assuming KG doesn't retire and Allen resigns)

As for Howard, can we please stop talking about him? It's not going to happen and you guys are going to be sad.

I like his talent. But I'm not sure I could live with his "funny" interviews for years with green on.

If it does happen, there are going to be some many people on here saying "OH I CALLED IT!" when in reality they were the ones saying "Not gonna happen like" this.

To say it is not going to happen outright is almost as bad as saying it is going to happen outright. But it is pretty clear what Danny Ainge's intentions are now after that trade deadline and you can be [dang] sure courting Dwight Howard is at the top of that list. Now, the question is can he make it happen or not, but it is pretty clear that Ainge wants DH12 in the Celtics uniform in 2012.

Dwight Howard has said nothing about playing any where besides Orlando, because that is illegal. The ones who are saying he wants to play in LA, NY, CHI, etc. are the "experts" in the media blowing smoke up our butts. We have no idea what he wants to do. Therefore, to say he isn't coming here outright is silly. Just as silly as the guys saying he is definitely coming here.
