Do you think if we put a cardboard cutout of Perk in a suit on the bench that the guys would start playing harder?
The cutout would probably be a better defender than most of the centers in the league so I think it's worth a shot actually

The cutout would singlehandedly hold Blake Griffin to 4-12 shooting just by glaring at him.

Hey look at that, we have a decent team.

Yes! I love when Rondo rebounds. Looking good this quarter. Back within one. I like whatever happened in that locker room during halftime  ;D

I think the celts will win this game, but I had to make one comment. I keep reading the celts are getting jobbed by the refs. They have taken 21 free throws to 8 for the clippers  :o
hard to believe isn't it.  Clips have definitely been allowed to play slap-happy though.  the FT disparity should be even wider if the game were called a bit more evenly.

Having said that, the refs weren't the reason the C's played like crap in the 1st half.

Oh, of course they did. The blog never descended into "how will we replace Gody" disaster, which surprised me.

Messing up the chemistry wasn't worth it...I've been trying to convince myself that this was a great trade but I can't anymore. Should have never traded Perk. Team would have been fine even if he sat on the bench for the rest of the season. Kristic seems cool and all but...you can't reinvent the chemistry that starting five had. You just cannot.

You've been trying but you can't anymore? After what? Not even a full game with our new guys?

Gimme a break . ::)

Yeah...you really don't get it.

I get it. Perk has been here for the entire big 3 era and the starting 5 has fostered chemistry that can't be replaced in the short term. Chemistry is important, it brings out the best of the players and it gives our guys an edge on the floor. But guess what, what has happened already happened. You can't turn back time. Perk is out, in comes Green and Kristic. How do you know that the new guys won't form better chemistry? Please, you are comparing half a game of sample size to 3 years. Is that fair?

Have some patience.

I understand what you're saying but unfortunately we don't have 3 yrs to gel with these guys. We have 3 months. Our goal is a championship in June of 2011.

But fortunately these guys are more talented than Perk, which will make up for the "lack of chemistry".

I really hope youre right.

The Celtics are going inside a lot more than the Clippers. The FT disparity is probably where it should be. If the C's played their A game they'd be up 15. The Clippers have been putting up terrible shots.

Please guys. There is no player protest. There is no strike. We're not getting calls and having a pretty bad shooting night. We're also not having any luck on the 50-50 balls, or the long rebounds.

Seriously, we'll get over it in the second half. The law of averages will kick in and we'll get back up to 45% shooting, ish.

We've got this.
See? We're going to win this one.
