Of course, but his usefulness due to his limited game is dependent on what players he's surrounded with. Partly why I was quite scared on overpaying him for the future.

Yes.  But I'll have to double check and look at a list of centers in the league.

I would add Chandler to that list. Camby? He's definitely on the cusp of number ten.

Love? Is he playing center? Is Al Jefferson playing center? Duncan?

Lopez...

You know, he might not be top 10.

Lopez is as soft as tissue , plays no defense at all. His defense is equal to Perk's offense, Perks offense might even be better than Lopez's D

yea, the league has changed enough that you have to consider guys like Love, Duncan, Lopez, etc. even David Lee, as centers, which puts Perk way out of the top ten.

If salary/contract considerations didn't matter, I would probably trade a healthy Kendrick Perkins for a healthy Anderson Varejao.

I like his character more than his game.  I think that's the big loss.

Comparing starting C's, he's a lot closer to Darko or Gortat territory than D.Howard, but with less mobility (now) than Darko, less shot blocking, less rebounds (a hunch on that one), and perhaps even less offense than Darko.

I also think Kwame Brown seems to get more rebounds, is also a good defender, but (somehow) manages to be even worse offensively (small hands?).

Howard, Bogut, Horford, Noah, Nene, Duncan, Camby, Chandler, P.Gasol, B.Lopez, Okafor, Gortat, Dalembert, Cousins, M.Gasol, Darko, Kwame, Biedrins, Kaman, Sideshow Bob...

Probably not top 10.  Possibly not top 15, but somewhere there in the middle of the pack where talent-wise, they're a bit interchangeable?

Kwame? He's so dumb he shouldn't be in the NBA. Any skill talent he brings to the table completely gets negated for stupidity.

When healthy, I thought Perk was the 3rd best center on our team behind Shaq and JO.  Now that's purely in terms of overall talent.  Of course Shaq and JO's realiability hurts them and increased Perk's value to the team considerably.

Maybe a better question to ask is what centers does Perk compare to?  Let's face it, if this guy was on a bad, non-playoff team, he would not have much of a name around the league.  Even a guy like TA drew some FA attention because he played for a winning team.

Are those lists supposed to be centers clearly better than Perk, or just lists of well known centers and power forwards?
