I believe that the pick coming to us is top 10 protected correct?

If that's the case, shouldn't we be rooting for the Clipps to win enough to be outside of the top 10?

yea it is top 10 protected, like I mentioned in another thread it can still bring us some legit talent in th 11-18 range of the draft.

This is where Danny is at his best, he drafted both Rondo and Big Al around #15

Hopefully we can use this asset in a trade for something better that we will need when the time comes.

I believe the pick is in 2012, so it would be next year where we would be cheering for them to finish with the 11th worst record.

And this is significant because the 2012 draft figures to be much stronger than this years draft.

I think they should be outside the top 10 in 2012 or 2013, assuming Griffin/Gordon are healthy.

Yep. It's 2012, assuming the world hasn't ended by then. I'm not so sure these days.

With our luck with the draft, the Clippers will finish in the 11th slot then win the Lottery  ;D

hmm, but the Clipps figure to be stronger as well. Wish it was 2011.

The 2011 draft is going to be horrid.  The 15th pick in the 2012 draft may be better than the 5th pick in the 2011 one.  Plus, I am not as confident the Clips are going to be that much better next year.

Clips will find a way to be bad.  It's what they do.

They'll manage one playoff season out of the Blake Griffin era before he ships out.

Clippers will remain a joke of a franchise all the way until 2016, when the pick becomes unprotected.  One can dream, anyway.

That wouldn't help us because in that case, they would keep the pick.  We need the actual selection to be outside of the top 10, not just the initial position by record.

That's what Redz was saying.  Because we have bad luck, that's probably what would happen.

Of course, then maybe Danny could reverse that luck and trade the rights to the pick and a young stud (Jeff Green) to some franchise looking to off-load its aging franchise player.
