Krstic > Perk

Green > Marquis

Delonte > Nate

Troy Murphy > Semi + Harangody

Why do people think that our chances are hurt for 18? When they are actually increased significantly.

** The reason I say Krstic > Perk is because Perk is massively injured this year and Krstic has started all 47 games this season and can actually put the ball in the hoop, where Perk can not even get on the floor.

Sorry, but Krstic is nowhere near as good as Perk.  If he was, the Thunder wouldn't have given up him, Green, a #1, and taken on Nate's salary to land Perk.

Krstic is a better shooter than Perk.  He's an inferior defender and rebounder, and he's less efficient offensively. Even after his return from injury, Perk was playing better than Krstic.

1)  Perk starting C on championship team.

2) Yes, Green is better.  He is a player that should be playing 30 minutes a night, starting at SF.  The Celtics do not need that.  They will use him 15-20 minutes a night.

3)  Delonte is here whether or not Nate isn't.

4)  Murphy signed already?  Where is the thread?  The link?

I would rather have a one legged Perk that a 100% healthy Kristic. To say Kristic is better is absurd. Green might have more talent, Perk gives us a much better chance to win a championship. I just cant believe how underrated Perk is. Even if this trade works out, people will still miss what Perk gives us in the upcoming weeks, it just wont be the same.

1.  Perk is injured, .. how many injured Centers does this team need this year to win 18?

2. So we play a good player less then he deserves?  this is a bad thing?

3. Delonte will replace all of Nate's minutes..

4. Murphy is coming.

I think it's funny you guys think Perk is healthy and could help up this year...

The mistake in your post is you said "Even after his return from injury".

Perk has not returned from injury... the man rushed his rehab and got injured again, and is currently out for an unknown length of time.

A healthy 7 footer that can shoot where defenders can't cheat off him like they always do on Perkins, is much better then an injured Perkins who rushed back from injury only to get injured again...

You can't ignore the injuries here and just blindly say Perk would be better for us this year.

Listen overall I agree but Krstic had a bad knee injury early in his career that robbed him of everything but his shot. The only reason he is still even effective in this leage is because he can shot as a big guy. He has not post game, and is a minus rebounder. From what I saw from Perk when he came back is a guy leaps and bound better than Nenad.

Yes Perk is hurt again but he was going to miss 2-3 more games. Nothing to worry about and good built in rest for his other knee to be honest.

Sprained MCL..other knee...basically day to day. Known injury with known recovery time. That's just wrong.

Chemistry can be built over time or it can click smoothly right away.

Most of the guys we traded away weren't playing much anyway and we were still winning.

I like the trade for now and for the future.

A recovery from injury and newly injured Perk is a wash with a healthy Nenad Kristic.

Jeff Green is a significant upgrade over Nate/Quis.

I think when team's start having to guard our center out of the block you will start to see what I am talking about.

You realized that he is out a week because he bruised his OTHER knee right? This injury has nothing to do with "rushing back". It is something completely unrelated.  ::)

If Perk is healthy he is significantly more important and valuable to our team than Nenad Kristic.

It's too bad that he was in his walk year and recover from a previous surgery and he got hurt again.

Yes I realize that.  But what isn't unrelated is Perkins rushing back from injury only to get reinjured again.... completely unreliable this season.

Krstic has started all 47 games and can actually put the ball in the hoop, where Perk can not even get on the floor.

I appreciate the thinking behind this post. It's one reason I never understood why people thought/think Tracy McGrady>Paul Pierce.  You just have to factor in injury history when making such a comparison.

But in this case I think it is a bit misplaced.  if you look back over Perkins' career history, he missed very few games.  Its just this year that he's missed games.  Compare that to Krystic who missed many more games over the course of his history.  This year is the exception.

When you factor all this in, I don't think there's a way to argue other than: Perkins>Krystic.
Celtics fan for life.

Krstic > Nate
Green > Perk

I like that better. The rest is filler material.
