Hey, can we get Pat O'Bryant? I still think he has potential (tongue in cheek).

Just heard in on WEEI. Guess there goes one of the roster spots.  ::)

Have to sign someone while we wait for buyouts. They could take weeks.
No buyout deadline is March 1st. Then we will know who is available, I don't see any of the canidates taking long after that to pick their team.

Well, I'm sure they'd be here if Lasme wasn't injured.

This kid is a nice stop-gap measure...  He could end up sticking around.  He's athletic and long.  The best part for him is that he'll get his chance here.  Of all the NBDL guys, I'm glad he's here...

(Just surprised I haven't seen all those "bring back 'Toine" threads burning up the boards here... :)

We might not have the Toine thread, but maybe we'll see a decrease in the bring back "Green" threads.

I'm just afraid that Danny is putting all of his eggs in one basket or maybe just too many in one basket and that is the availablity of Troy Murphy and the hope he ends up here. Yeah reports have said he wants to be in Boston but also Miami and Orlando are looking at him so it's far from a guarentee. Honestly if I was him I'd go to the Heat. If that doesn't work out and Troy goes somewhere else is there a backup plan?? I'd hope so.

Ridiculous Upside is the blog I go to for D-League action.  Chris Johnson, a D-League all-star who had been invited to the Celtics training camp was described in one article as "Pretty much a young Marcus Camby physically."  Portland signed him to a 10-day contract previously, but suckage wasn't the reason they didn't sign him to another one; they only had roster space for him while they had an injury exemption for Marcus Camby and had to return him.

It would be great if he does play tonight, we need all the help we can get at center.

I wonder how teams go about making the decision of who to sign from the D-League?

Do they pick names out of a hat? I mean, I remember Kevinn Pinkney. No way he was a conscience choice to sign.
